I once worked at a theatre and security asked him for ID to get to his changing room. He yelled "don't you know who I am? Have you never seen Star Wars lad?" About 500 decibels. Suffice to say he got to his changing room only after giving the security guard a hug and an autograph..

We need more people like him and I'm sure the producer could look the other way as it were.Brian is a real diamond and should have his own show! Blessed are the meek? Nah, Blessed and meek are polar opposites! But you have to love Blessed. Actually, I bumped into him once at the tail ending if a book signing with hardly anyone around. A pompous oaf would have said, there's no one here let's push off. But not Blessed, he would talk to anyone at length and make them feel like hey were the important one. Ultimate respect to a genuine gentleman, wit, humorist and above all a complete character! Also, his beard, close up, is one of the most intensely matted structures I have ever seen. NASA should study it for its thermal insulation properties.

I first saw Brian Blessed in an episode of Doctor Who, he was over the top loud and totally entertaining. I next saw him in Blackadder. It was basically the same role, I seen him in Henry V, once more the same character..just a different name; this man can go over the top. And be very loud, however it is very entertaining
