To be fair, my mom literally had to get stitches from opening a can of beans and she picked up the lid and sliced it. . And this is why I think everyone should invest in things like this because it’s just soooo much safer.
Yes!!!! When I was like 11? 12? My mom let me use the can opener (I always helped out in the kitchen so she didn’t think anything of it) & sliced my middle finger so deep that it bled through a whole ass bath towel wrapped around it. Had to get stitches lol
When I was a kid the power went out at the house. Me and my brother had our dad open a can of juice, early 2000s had canned juices 😂, that morning. We forgot to throw away the lid and it fell on the side of the bed. Later in the night when it was dark I went into my dad's room to get something and ended up slicing my ankle on the edge of it. I didn't need stitches but I was so traumatized by that I don't buy anything that requires a can opener anymore 😂
At first the slightest issue scares the shit outta you but, as time goes by you soon learn to recognize when they are really hurt or in trouble. Its a little different for each kid, despite that I can still tell the girl was okay. Most cry bloody murder when th y are actually hurt.

The kids fine. He's just learning natural human things. Naturally, we crave sympathy and attention. Her not responding to that not only teaches the child that it's not very serious, but also teaches them independence and that they can't seek for attention. When you're around kids a lot, you know about this. He had to scream UT twice ith no real tears. He's okay.

@@jakobwhaley5641 do you have kids or children in your life? kids since they are babies know how to get the attention of their parents, is normal for them to maybe not fake but exaggerate situation for attention. if a kid falls to the ground and is not hurt and you go "omg my poor baby is hurt!" or get visibly worried and rush to them you are going to scare them and then is when the tears and whining comes from and is going to become and enabler to more attention seeking. they best response would be to tell them that they are ok in a calm manner so they start to learn they are capable of tolerating some things. obviously if the child is visibly upset or hurt the first thing that they are going to do is cry and scream, is the natural reaction.

@@missbeaussienah, it depends on how you raise em, if you give them attention every single time they’ll keep doing it for attention and will use it to get what they want too. Show sympathy for actual attention needing injuries, not slight bumps and bruises.

The kid is fine lol… There’s a genuine cry and then there’s a “Mom look at me look look I’m on the ground look at me” cry. Source- toddler sister. There’s her “I fell and it hurts a whole lot” cry and her “I fell and I want them to coddle me” cry
From an older sister, that wasn't an actual cry. If it was, the kid would be screaming and wouldn't want to form words, especially at the age they sound like. That was a cry for coddling and attention. And before someone says it, answering to every cry for attention will harm the kids future more than it will help the kid. Kids need to learn that they won't always have mommy and daddy for every little scrap and bump. If they don't learn that, then they'll grow up to think that every little thing is worth attention and will be upset when they don't get that attention from other adults
Mothers know how to differentiate between a real cry and a fake cry. And if it was a real cry our mind will automatically go into alert mode and will black out all thoughts and will focus on the child 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I didn't mean it in an offensive way. My mom is asian and that's how I got the idea from. But I do think this is way better than giving in to their tantrums because they'd get used to it and would probably grow up spoiled. My mom would make me get up and walk to her when I got hurt so she could treat my injuries. She also wouldn’t help me until I calmed down and explained to her what hurt/ what I need help with. As much as I cried and did a tantrum she wouldn’t give in. She just calmly said “walk over so I can help you” I think it’s good to not give into every tantrum while still showing you care. It’s like a healthy medium.
Moms can hear it in their baby's voices when it's the real deal. I've got three and you can tune things out that people without kids don't understand and you can hear when it's an actual problem when they talk/whine/cry. He's fine people, chill.
LMAO this is hilarious because as an incredibly incredibly clumsy child who fell down more stairs then could ever be counted, I remember my mom reacting the exact same way and carrying on a conversation with her friend while I was crying, her friend kept asking if I was okay and my mom was like “she does this all the time! she’s fine!” it was completely true hahahaha I stopped crying and went right back to running and playing on the stairs and being dumb and probably hurt myself again a week later. Kids are silly and moms know when it’s really serious😂
haha i used to climb trees, fall and go inside crying. My mom would ask me if it hurt. If i replied yes she would reply "good, that means you learned something valuable today". And then i would go outside and climb the same tree again..I don't get how boys survive their childhood tbh, we are primed to destroy ourselves :p
