I typically enjoy listening to the show, but I found this particular episode to be quite disappointing. The comments made regarding the Rangers fans needing to accept second place or worse, Clement being blamed for not winning the league, and Butland being valued at 10 million were particularly concerning. In my opinion, the lack of a decent striker for Clement was the primary factor in the team's failure to win the league. Additionally, the board misled Clement and the fans during the AGM, which further exacerbates the situation. If the current board is unable to effectively manage and progress the club, it would be advisable to seek alternative leadership that can ensure the club's success.
Someone needs to take charge and steer this board in the right direction. It seems that you are content with being a runner-up, but I was brought up believing second is nowhere for Rangers. Perhaps they will start recognizing every team's participation with a medal, which I assume you would appreciate.
Accept 2nd or 3rd haha. We can spend money but the net spend needs to be low and in line with FFP. I'm sure all of our dealings in the last few years have been based on this. It was brought in to prevent things like 2012 happening. However, I refuse to believe that we can't build a team on that basis which can compete and win trophies in Scotland.
The board need to ensure, first and foremost, that the club is financially stable. A big issue is that the majority of our squad are on wages which don’t reflect their contribution on the park. Some fans think that selling players is like football manager but in reality the level of club suitable for the majority of our squad will not pay them anything like what they’re on at the moment. This leads to players just running down their contracts. Those who negotiated these exorbitant contracts are to blame and not the board.

Don't agree with 2nd or 3rd best, all this is down to the board our financial situation not selling players at the right time, so no 2nd and 3rd is not good enough the board better get there finger out and run the club properly. 😡
Totally agree with the point that you don't need your own signings to implement your style of play. I'm old enough to remember Souness coming in and seeing the obvious change in style even though we still had guys like Cammy Fraser and Dougie Bell in the team. I didn't buy that excuse with Beale and im certainly not buying it with Clement.
It is clear that major change is required and that there are no short term fixes. We simply cannot ever again be giving 30yo Championship jobbers 30k a week 4-year contracts. We need to only be buying ‘prospects’ for cash and loaning in ‘experience’ on a seasonal basis. It seems that we just have to bite the bullet and wait for the current lot of jobbers to run their contracts down if we cant get rid of them. Depressing.
