Good interview. No matter how you feel about Dana, you have to admire his honesty. Business IS Business....He's had to help build this organization from the ground up. I can't even imagine the insane pressure he's had to endure.
TheBardeng Think I saw him on the JRE once where he said if he took drugs he’d be straight up fucked because of his brain injuries. Of course, that doesn’t stop everyone but it makes it less likely
@@jonathonrichter318 our brain has cannabinoids and cannabinoid recceptors mate! It wouldnt affect him. Ecstasy or cocaine on the other hand would probably kill him
Out of all of the giant fights that we never got like Khabib and Ferguson (before Ferguson lost and broke his streak), the single most disappointing fight fall out is undoubtedly the boxing match between Dana and Tito. I remember being a little kid watching the lead up docu-series for that boxing match with Dana training like crazy and for the first time ever going from skinny fat Dana to buff and scary Dana just for Tito to do the most Tito Ortiz thing ever and pull out of the fight sighting a neck or back injury. The amount of times Tito has pulled out of fights because he needs surgery on his neck or back has got to be more than the amount of time he’s won a fight. I would pay lots of money to this day to see Dana and Tito box.
i think dana on balance has been good for mma, look at the talent that he has helped to cultivate, look at the fights he puts together for the fans (he gives the fans what they want when he can), look at the way he takes on the gaming commission, calling them out for their B.S. no one is perfect and no one is utterly ruined. dana has, for the most part, been a positive force for the sport, i think.
Love him or hate him the UFC is now bigger than boxing and that is down to Dana and his team. They promote their fighters so much better than boxing does.
When Dana is finished with one of his fighters, he discredits them and spits them out. Examples Tito, Rampage, Courture, Shamrock, all hall of famers. Shame shame.
Cowbell if i was guessing was to let the guys in the booth know to drop it when Dana said ass and other curse words. The FCC is pretty tight so radio stations use bells and horns to know that the curse words are being dumped.
Dana White do have favoritism. Between Conner and Aldo, we all know who he favors. Aldo better be more careful while in Vegas. When fighting Conner, he better knock Conner out, or he'll never see his belt again.
***** Aldo has also ran from like what? 7-8 title fights? Hard to lose when you run, Aldo is a great champion but he is no match for Conor, but lets be real here, it's all trash talk until the fight actually happens, people can say what they want, fact is, nobody will know who is better until the fight happens, cheers
