For your baby shower, buy a bunch of 18 year old birthday cards from like the dollar store. And get a Polaroid camera /film. & at the baby shower have everybody write a special message for the baby, they take a selfie to include into the card. Seal them all up to give to your daughter when she’s turning 18.

i saw a cool tip for names! go to Starbucks & order drinks and instead of giving them YOUR name to call out, give them your baby name idea (for your drink) so that you can see how other people pronounce it / call it out and how they spell it! it’s a good way to test-run the name :)
When expecting my mother-in-law gave me name suggestions: 1. Yell the entire name out the back door. When you're upset, you'll say all 3 names. If it rolls off your tongue, that's a keeper. 2. Spell it so everyone can say it correctly. 3. Don't use weird spellings so the child doesn't have to constantly spell it their entire life.
A lot of times Joann's or Hobby Lobby or Michaels will have a chest or box that you can add to. Another really good idea for a time capsule is a journal that you write in on special occasions like the first time she says a word the first time she walks or first solid foods for step first day of school and that way you can give it to her

I was team girl from the start!! I had/was pregnant with a baby girl & I felt like our paths were so similar. My baby just turned 4 weeks & it’s insane how fast time is going. My boyfriend & I are both young parents also & I genuinely think you and Eli will be amazing parents!
Love you two!! I have learned over the years that you get the BEST pictures/videos when you hand your camera/phone over to a young child! Everyone will smile and pose for them. Gave my phone to my 6 year old niece one year during a family get together and told her it was her job to play photographer. She was so excited and did a great job. I still cherish many of those pics and it is another way to get YOU in pictures that you don't normally have because you are always the one behind the lens!
Girl don't feel bad, or weird about the whole memory part on keeping things that people gave you in the past and your not the only one like that because guess who else does that um me. So it is alright. Your good. Don't let anybody get in the way of judging you for that either. I find it awesome. So just keep doing it.
Hi Lacey and Eli! What my mom have done these past years is this! She has what we call a memory bin! It’s a big bin. She keep my first stocking, my old school art etc! So as she grows up you can do that!
As a Mom and now a grandma I will give you a hint about the stove every time you cook and do the dishes wipe down the stove, and the table don't wait until it gets so bad it is hard to clean.
Lacey one thing I do, is I focus on only 1 load a day, that way it doesn’t feel like a burden! And I put on a movie or a show while I’m folding as well:) it’s all abt getting into a routine, I moved out when I was young too and figured these little tops out along the way!

You could go to a craft store and get a box you can decorate and put your keepsakes in.. and Congratulations on the princess... Also Eli is such a gentleman he definitely cleaned the stove for you after he swore he wasn't... I love it... and Eli's shade about the last name was a good 1 but you will get married when the 2 of you are ready..

At craft stores like JoAnne's, Michaels, etc, they have some little treasure chest made of Paper-Mache (I think). You could paint it and decorate it to be very cute. Inside you could have little boxes to put things in.

Lacey keep a window cleaner and cleaning sponge in the shower and anyone having a shower cleans while in the shower ☺️ makes everything much easier and your shower is always clean 🥰🥰🥰
I’m so happy for y’all& your sweet baby girl!!! 🥰 ps- helpful tip for you! My mother-in-law also has a gas stove and she takes all the burner tops off puts a huge thing of aluminum foil under it to catch all the crumbs so you just switch that out every once in a while no cleaning required!

Lacey, when I was pregnant with my first child, I would come home from work and basically go to bed 😂. At the time, my husband was working weekends so I’d get out of bed to help him get off to work after sleeping all night. He’d go to work and I’d take a 4-6 hour nap. No joke. I slept a lot!
