I do the exact same things as you Lacey. I've kept all Cards, My Childrens Bracelts from Hospital as Newborns, Their Pegs where the Ambilical Cord was, Their Teeth Etc ... Every single thing holds so many memories for me. I brought big tubs (you'd say Totes) and have at least one Per Child but I've had to buy more recently as sorting through things I realized I've blinked and they've Grown again.. People think I'm mental haha but I put them up in the Attic and when I do bring them down I actually see that they now hold as many memories for them as they do myself so it really is worth doing ❤ ... I know single parenting can be hard but you are absolutely rocking it and it's so clear to see how much Bex adores you. You truly are so inspiring and just beautiful inside/out.. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll not go wrong. ❤❤❤❤

It's us being a mom Lacey! It's Ok to keep things bexley have while she's growing up, I too still have my 4 children's umbilical cords and their hospital baby tags until now, and they're all in their 20's now and my only daughter is already married.😊❤❤

How lovely are you too. I was never in Foster care (however I had lots of Foster siblings aswell as bio siblings) and I do this too. Not just my own stuff but my kids too when my eldest went from primary school (we live in Ireland he was 12/13) to secondary school (his birthday is in the summer holidays) I made not only a photo book for him but his 2 best friends also with all the photo memories of the 3 of them from literally age 3 to 12 birthday parties days out just hanging out each stage a different chapter with is own little essay with it. I've kept both my kids clothes baby things I kept a nappy (diaper) from each stage they both had dodies (pacifier) and I kept the last one they each had I've kept every copy book every picture they drew every card they made (my youngest is only 8 and eldest is 20) I kept the first mothers day card my eldest bought me with his own money that he earned himself. I keep everything I just love it all so much and I love my kids so much I want them to be able to look back on those things one day and remember. After my dad died my siblings took a lot of stuff (cos they would use it) and nearly everything else my mom gave away so I only have 2 things his guitar and a picture he drew on one of our Summer holidays so I treasure everything so I totally get it. But you have to be selective otherwise your house ends up full of stuff that you don't need I'm doing a huge clear out and believe me it's torture but it needs to be done. Keeping a box is the best way to do it you can just stack them on top of eachother when the bigger one gets full and I think its great if you have them separated and labelled new born 1-3 or whatever way you do it that way she can easily find each stage when she's older. Your doing such a great job you are a fantastic mom so don't feel bad for cherishing every memory. ❤❤❤

Hey Lacey, Micheal’s craft store has memory boxes. Normally they are on sale so watch for a sale. And they have cute designs too. Also, keeping your things isn’t hoarding. My kids are 24-30 now and I have their newborn stuff and memories of things they made in school and such.

FOR SURE THE HOSPITAL BRACELET,UMBILICAL CORD, CARDS LIKE FOR THE FIRST BIRTHDAY THE SECOND BIRTHDAY BABY SHOWER I PERSONALLY TAPED THE EXTRA CARDS ON THE INSIDE OF THE BABY BOOK. WHAT YOU HAVE SAVED IS NOT HOARDING. GIRL YOU NEED TO LOOK UP THE REAL HOARDERS MISS SILLY GIRL

Dollar general where I’m from in Indiana has these cute “cheap” decorative boxes of all sizes and would be perfect for a memory box. I have several sizes of the same theme and use mine just for that including jewelry etc. and looks cute in my bedroom and goes with the theme.

I have 4 kids. My order is kids in car first, then groceries then I put the cart away with the kids in the car but keys in my hand. I live in a very very safe town. I always park beside the buggy station.

Same girl with the "hoarding" - I do this too (I had a very traumatic chilhood). Anything that has a positive memory attached to it, I cannot get rid of. I am organized though, so I have learned to embrace it. I genuinely sit down with my keepsake boxes and go through them every once in a while. I think it is super sweet you are doing it for Bexley 💞

Do you ever let Cody and your biological sister help you out with things around the house or babysit Bexley. I think memories are nice to keep but if you your brother and your biological sister can find out if someone in your biological family has any memories of you that would be a nice thing to get and you three could make an album or a couple of albums they have memories from your childhood and growing up

My son before he was born I saved all the sonograms and the when he was born I had made up a baby book and I saved all of his first shoes and other First toys and stuff and I made a memory box and a baby books and he's got his other baby books and I kind of stopped after he was five, but I have all of his yearbooks from I think preschool to and I think we're going to let's eat lunch at sixth grade but I didn't get one for 7th grade but he does have his 8th grade yearbook so I don't think I'll be collecting any stuff when he's in high school unless he gets any awards for joining the two sports he wants to join and has any pictures and other things he wants to save that's on him

For me Its always been get kids in the car, turn vehicle on, put shopping bags in the trunk and return cart which we always park near. A woman and her 3yr old was just attacked while she was putting grocery bags in her trunk. The kid was sitting in the front seat part of the cart when he was attacked and he didn’t make it sadly 😢 The offender stole a knife from the thrift store next store and walked around the grocery store with it before choosing her victims and followed them to their car in the parking lot. This happened in Ohio.

Biological doesn't equal normal... You're not abnormal... But I know what you mean. It's the "real" parents thing for me... As an adopted kid I strongly feel we should normalize different types of families. 😢❤ I resonate with this...

I think I have cards, Christmas cards, Easter cards, birthday cards, marriage cards. All imaginable from Early childhood. Well into my late twenties now. And I don't know what to do with them. And I did the same thing with all my kids stuff. They're only two and four but I don't. I don't know what to do and it's just cards. It's just the cards. I don't know why I do that but that's the thing I like to collect so I wouldn't call it hoarding. But maybe one day I'll make like a collage or something. 😂❤

I usually park right next to the cart corral and then put my baby’s car seat in his base, then buckle my 4 and 3 year old up. I’ll put my groceries in last and then put the cart back and then I get in. But we live in MN and usually doesn’t get past 80 in the summer on a normal day

Lacey try Dr bronners liquid soap for you body wash. You just need a few drops on your poofy. Tea tree is medicated to cleanse those scratches or any blemishes... Peppermint will cool your skin. Lavender and rose are flowery, Eucalyptus in the winter or if you're sick. And my fav is citrus it's bright and cheerful and unisex. You can use it for your clothes too. It only seems expensive but you can replace all kind of items with it and it's super concentrated.

@lethiapage4767 4 дня назад
Start the car.... AC on. Put you items in the car with your kid in the cart or touching it. Lock your car as needed. Walk the cart to the put-away with your kid with you then walk back, unlock the car, load your kid. Lock again if she is not on your side. Walk to your own door. Get in. Lock yourselves in.

I always put my baby into the car first then groceries into my car lock my door run like heck to the cart corral to drop off my cart then I run back to the car to unlock and start it. It's different if I have my wife with me, but that's my order when I'm alone. Mostly because I'd rather have my child safe in the car. There are so many crazies here, and I live in the state where some lady killed a 3 year old while the mom was putting her groceries into her car and her son was sitting in the cart. I also, though, don't live in a state that is over 100 degrees regularly, so absolutely no judgment from anyone who does things differently. I just have a lot of anxiety when it comes to keeping my child safe.

Are remote car starters popular in Arizona? If you have remote car starter I would start the car so it can cool off while loading groceries or whatever shipping then take Bexkey with you to return the cart. I usually try to park next to cart return to make it easier. Then put Bexley in then you get in. Here in NY with multiple kids when car temp isn't an issue you can open the windows alittle put kids in first then unload shopping. Usually I'm next to cart return but if I have to walk to return it I take kids with me. It's an extra step to put them in twice but safety first is worth it.
