I revisit the Reading GWR rail depot , last time I visited they went mad and said a drone was definitely illegal, so, we take the drone. Police arrive very fast ....
Another example of Police logic, the questions they ask which they presume gives them evidence of bad intent or hostile reconnaissance. They simply can't inagine that anyone with hostile intent that goes to the trouble of buying and using a drone is incapable of coming up with a convincing cover story, convincing patter and a fake id
computer aided dispatch numbers would indeed be of interest to be used in conjunction with a FOI perhaps , but he can still get it if he calls 101 , or he can submit a SAR
Easy said when not there, as we all know Police have powers and they are not above twisting the badly worded laws to "fit" And its not like he wouldn't have corroboration from his mate (Like boiled sweets they stick together)
The crime rate in Britain must be astronomical, every place that any auditor visits has had a break in, or so they say, would appear all these security bods are a waste of time and space
They probably have had a break in. Of course, it is probably unsolved because instead of turning up for that they waste everyone's time when someone is taking photographs or flying a drone.
Good grief, I swear the police are getting more and more thick by the day. Get violently burgled, none of them turn up and get told to report it online. Our neighbours got done, police said they were too busy - same morning 3 of them down the road issuing tickets in a new 20mph zone. They are a pathetic waste of space. It's no wonder the Met and other police forces are under Special Measures as they are not fit for purpose. Takes members of the public to educate them on laws (not just drone laws). His approach was unprofessional.
Painful for Sherlock Holmes here to face the stark reality Mr DJE knows the law better than he does...More painful probably was the awareness Sherlock felt that Mr DJE was recording him..But there is always a gravitational "thump" when the long arm of the law has nothing to reach for..
Failure to identify - Failure to check on the rules beforehand. Failure to consider anything.. failure to behave as expected of a British Police Officer. Overall.. a failure.
As soon as the cop said it's unlawful to fly a drone over building and closer than 50M, I thought you are going down in flames officer. Got to love these pricks.
Officer on the left (On cam) was rather worryingly agitated over a minor matter. Body language and tone of voice and disco dancing is something his superiors need to address. I'd say from this trivial matter, he is a danger tothe public.
I do enjoy these railways audits DJE MEDIA ........ That depot at Reading has changed beyond recognition when I visited there in September / October of 1986. You ''schooled'' those BTP charmers well ....... there's always some power tripping moron who thinks or believes the police are their OWN private security company ...... Well done again on an excellent video.
The fact you are filming is public as people can see you are filming. But the reasons motives etc as to why you are filming can remain private under article 8 of the human rights act. We don't have to explain why we are doing a legal activity. Also article one protocol one rights allows us to enjoy are possessions. Article 10 allows us to gather and impart information. ANYONE who tries to stop you is infringing on your rights. So the officer said they treat ALL law abiding citizens with contempt because he thinks all police are a target. Great attitude to have from the police. No wonder every one loathes these gangmember corrupt tyrant pigs.
The reason why they approached in that way, is because that's how they always approach members of the public. Their bully boy tactics did not work this time. Well done DJE, it's always nice to see plod put in their place.
Another class encounter with a Thames Valley officer. Bloody useless is a compliment! He may have backtracked but the escalation was immediate and showed a complete lack of education. He's still being nosey and showing his bias towards your photographing and copsplaining about his dislike.
Ok....they started off lousy, thanks to you giving them a chance they got better. Nice one, they learned something due to your great attitude 👍 I can definately understand how they get defensive, there are some proper arseholes out there and they have to deal with `em....on a daily basis
In this day and age.(Modern Quote) These cops all shoot themselves in the foot by coming up and trying to bully people, thinking we are all idiots and will cower down to them. This stupid cop looked really disappointed when he found out you knew drone law better than him. He needs to learn all laws before trying to enforce them.
Terrible attitude… the police really do think they are over the public… The other one wasn’t so bright… they are the gift that keeps giving… they aren’t exactly hard to catch out are they… Maybe if they were more professional they wouldn’t have people baiting them.. We really do live in the dumb age.
Do all the police officers go to the same instructor on what is lawful and what is not, if so, it’s time that instructor was retrained or better still sent out on the beat so the public can update them on the law 🤔
Interesting seeing one of your audits in my home town. That flooded area is where the main stage of Reading Festival is situated and can get just as boggy in August.
Love the way you handled this situation and ‘dealt’ with the 👮🏻♂️👮🏻♂️…… As you pointed out, his approach/attitude was unbalanced 🧐 Good old “This day & age” quote gets boring now 🥱🥱🥱
It never fails to amaze me how quickly the police respond to corporate security when it's we the the tax payer paying for their service. What do we get? A crime number!. DJE stood up well to their passive-aggressive approach and put them straight in their place. I look forward to his films.
Well done DJE...masterfully de-escalated..nice to think the Constables were educated by you and were okay in the end.. hopefully their next interaction will be better than the guilty until proved innocent approach..
I do watch and have subscribed to your channel but you rather contradicted yourself. You maintain that the reason you do the videos, particularly with a drone is that the viewers are interested and want to see what goes on. Then at the end of the video, you said that with no interaction you were considering not posting it. Obviously, an interaction makes it more interesting but what of the drone views and those interested, if you don't post it?
There is something wonderful about aerial photography or as I like to call it, a Birds Eye view. I’ve always liked topological maps and ordinance survey maps it just offers a great insight into what places look like from above. I enjoy these videos for the interest in this angle of appreciation, if it was banned it would be a huge loss to the public. Pilots of light aircraft and hot air balloons would be the only method of getting high quality images from the sky for the general public.
Love it how they turn up that quick for a man with a drone. My wife and son were there way back from London when they were verbally abused by afew lads she rang me to ask to meet her at the train station which I did I spoke to one of the workers and explained they were very professional and helped they got two security guards to stand by the platform and allowed me too but the police where absolutely useless they could not be bothered they said they have to wait for a crime to be committed even though my son was autistic to they still weren't interested they just walked of and probably went to get a coffee and donut absolutely useless
That asshole police officer is coming up putting the gloves on, thinking he's going hands-on What happened to being innocent until proving guilty. Now you're guilty first.
It's a pretty sad state of affairs we are in when the public have to school the Police on the law AND how to behave when interacting with the public. Where is the training for these cops?
Pity Plod 1 didn't start off in the prescribed way by stating who, number and where from and also the less than calm approach. All that macho aggression gets old Plod nowhere at all. Well handled DJE, as usual.
I thought this cop felt he was being baited by the "maybe" reply and got his hackles up waiting for the usual RU-vid cop bashing crap. Well done for explaining and proving you were in the right and not just trying to wind them up 👍
