The way I heard the Rhyme said in TX as a kid was Red N Yellow Kill A Fellow, Red N Black Venom Lack.

I have that memorized from my teenage days in the eighties. That rhyme is in some of the older Boy Scout manuals and field books. I live in NC and I there are coral snakes in the eastern part of my state. That rhyme I learned from old Scout manuals is how I learned to differentiated coral snakes from another type of snake, Scarlet King snakes.
