I wish arrowhead used this bug. It'll be nice addition. A lone scary Helldiver hunter. Like man we already have a legion of murderous automaton imagine after that one lone appear menacingly. Specially when your squad of friends does it at stealth mission where you sneak in then suddenly those fucker jumps the team
@@stalinsoulz7872 You know, special unit that behave like a stalker but more intelligent and durable. You start an helldive difficulty mission, and in the middle of the game. Your destroyer inform you and your team that the Automaton have deployed a terminator unit, all enemy troops get a morale boost, you can hear them chant, they fight more aggressively. Hell, the terminator could behave like a tyrant of Resident evil.
YO this reminds me of Warcraft 3 mod games like Night of the Living Dead, where there were often "super zombies" hidden among the masses that could tank insane damage WAY above their weight and could 1 HKO Often you wouldn't realize theyre here until all the other zombies are cleared out. In fact, the only way to tell (some) variants is to look at their health. Some were darker in color.
Sometimes a group of the normal rifle bots spawn and they don't have a commander, they will walk up to you and surround you but won't fire. They will take steps then step back but will never shoot even if you kill them.
saw the same thing happen with two striders, they kept walking after thier rider was knocked off... No shooting, they jus slowly followed us like lost puppies sometimes stopping to look around, then would try to stomp on us :)
I have encountered two of them and they almost never fight back. I died to the first one I encountered out of confusion as I ran up to it to try and melee it, only after a couple of melee hits did it wake up and attack me back which caught me off guard. I couldn’t really damage it and I’d put myself in a compromising position so I ended up dying. It then ran off.
I encountered one and me and a random couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t dying. It didn’t shoot back at us so we decided to give up and go to a near by loot area with a garage door that needed to be blown up. As we got close the door the terminator bot shoots the garage door opening it for us! We then turned around and watched it walk away into the distance 😂
I'm really gonna' freak out if the developers decide to make this bot model canon and twist the lore that this model were actually experimental units made from dead helldivers in order to explain why they act unpredictably sometimes 😅😅😅

Frozen in a cryo pod, and you were lucky if you thawed in the ship instead of on the way to the planet surface. Your gear is handed down from one diver to the next aboard the super cruiser.

I encountered 1 yesterday and I was about 10 seconds from getting another reinforcement but he just stood there taking everything I had left, distracting me from other automotan that then killed me
Me and my friend once encountered what we called a zombie charger, he took two 500kg bomb to the face, 6 quasar shot and 7 impact grenade before he finally died of blood loss
That "terminator" is just desync in action. It sometimes happens when the hosts connection drops you for a second when you use a strategem. It's a lot more noticable on at-at striders as sometimes the pilot will die but the strider will persist on riderless. Having a team member damage them at all usually fixes it.
Wow, that's actually really good to know😅, I ran into one yesterday that full-face tanked 2 500 kg, and still needed 2 expendables.😢 Edit : I'm basing my reply off of the fact that the 500 kg was logged in their leg, then in their torso before it blew up, then it needed 2 more expendable anti tank headshots to kill it
That’s not true, they don’t have different health pools, the 500kg just isn’t reliable when it comes to BTs. Try it with quasar and railcannon and you will see that it will always takes one railcannon shot and one headshot w quasar
I've also noticed that sometimes bullets pass right through them. Fortunately, i think grenades still kill them instantly. Im not 100% certain but from the few I've run into, it works
I encountered a few of them already. Always scares me when i turn back as i think a sneaky patrol dropped on me and i double tap it before remembering that it's just a friendly stalker. But a real weird one i had was a strider without it's pilote following all the way through the mission!
Had a similar one happen but I think mine bugged out. Hit a strider with an orbital laser and the pilot died, but the walker stayed active and kept following me, trying to do the melee stomp only.
Now that their Vanguard are gone, they've deployed troops with a lot heavier armor. There are basic units now that have thicker armor. I've encounter a few that ricocheted a few penetrator rounds before their armor gave and they died.
All of the ones I've have come across over 117 hours of game time prob around a Dozen or so don't have a Weapon and have Always just followed from a medium Distance and watched me and my Squad. It's very uncomfortable
Terminators have adaptive shielding coded to a specific Helldivers. To nulify this you should get your fellow Helldivers involved as those shoelds can't change their polarisation outside of the fabricator, making them easy pickings for your fellow liberators
I met one. He didn’t kill me, tanked an autocannon pod drop, a full magdump of said autocannon, and a few grenades. He marched off before another automaton smoked him in one shot. Wildest thing I ever saw on the automaton front.
The 2 I've found were unkillable, and they did not fire back. He followed me to the exit and sat there with us. I told my teammates he was outer pet now.
I had one yesterday, I had initially thought my friend was sympathizing with the robot, but it turned out that no matter how many bullets were shot, it would both go down, salute to my friend for being loyal to democracy, and as a meatshield for when the missile struck.
The only use for shoulder the mantle is deepstrike cheese. You can use it to shorten your deepstrike charge. Its still wildly unwieldy and dumb and probably not intended but it is A use for it
Thought you were gonna talk about Fred for a second the automaton that follows the player around but doesn't shoot, alert others to your presence, or call in dropships. He must count as a random patrol cause as long as he is near the player no patrols will spawn in.
I also encountered a few unique enemies. Scout walker with no pilot still attacking. An utterly dismembered brood commander attacking with berserk rage despite having no limbs or head.
You can always find them hidden behind “Bad Connection” and under a “Lag Spikes” or also in the “You’re an idiot if you think this is real” and on top of the “This is what happens when servers die lol.”
By now I encountered two striders (those operated by infantry units, easily to take out from the back), that kept shooting and walking while the infantry operatimg it was already dead, kind of like a "zombie strider". It took an explosion to take it out!

It’s bugged trooper, sometimes it can have no weapon and just staring at you silently, or even when it has a weapon, it still won’t use it. I’ve meet them a few time, mostly on Creek, never saw them shoot back. But a few times it’s changed with another trooper and start to shoot me in a back when i has stopped looking at it. It was not a same trooper that unbugged and began to fight properly, but different type of trooper. So be careful and keep it in your sight if you meet one.
It's just a server communication glitch. A fellow diver was wrestling with one, I walked up and killed it with two melee hits. A few days later, I was struggling with one, and the same friend killed it with a single headshot.
Red hulks that can run, automatons that have human skulls decorating their armor, hunters that can jump into space and land on top of you 1min later with pinpoint accuracy, though that last one might just be a bug [canned laughter]
I may have encountered this guy once or twice. Though a lone trooper seemingly sneaking up on me/ scouting around is something i've encountered alot. Sometimes they dont even shoot. Like their only job is to run and follow and keep an eye on me.
I ran into one of these a few weeks ago and thought it was a game master observing the game. The "terminator" I encountered didn't shoot at me, he just followed me around until one of my squadmates killed him by knocking him over with a melee attack.
i just started playing, got to one of my first like hectic missions. I was so overwhelened seeing all the chaos, thick smoke covering everything. Then out of the rubble he appeared, i peed myself. Everytime i thought id killed him, he walked out of the dust a rubble and kept marching straight at me. This encounter made me hopelessly addicted to this game. So cool, total nerdgasm.
I met one like this, but assumed it was a bug in the game. He was all alone away from any fighting or base, and utterly indestructible. I emptied primary, secondary and support weapon into him, called down a gatling barrage, a 500kg, and then my friends called a railcannon strike, an orbital laser, and a mech on him. He just shrugged it all off, and we decided to leave him on that hill and get on with the mission.
I’ve met six of these guys and my finding are disturbing: it seems that they are not just physically more robust, but perhaps more mentally complex, as those I met didn’t engage. They followed me or maintained a middle distance, but seemed uninterested in battle, eventually wondering off.
Don’t forget the X-Ray automaton who can see and shoot you through solid rock, or the infinite vision automatons who know your precise location from miles away.
You mean Phil, he's a lovely robot sometimes, He's followed me across the map. One time, I followed him, and he led me straight to the purples. Haven't seen him in a week. Hope he's doing alright. Good old Phil 👍
I've encountered him. He followed me silently through the entire mission without alerting any other bots. He was like my shadow, just hanging around. I miss him.
I Ran into one Just Last Night! It wouldn't attack me but it wouldn't even Flinch to direct hits from my Eruptor and kept backing away out of Melee Range. It wasn't until I brought my Entire Squad to look at him that he immediately started shooting his Machinegun and completely wiped us all out with some ridiculous headshots! These dudes are No Joke!
This reminds me of a clip i saw of 4 helldivers entering the dropship and extracting at the end of a mission... except there were only 3 players in the lobby. would be cool if there were ACTUAL terminators that disguise themselves as the players.
OHHHH! I actually fought one of these. It confused me at first. Turns out he easily dies to friendly fire after walking in front of an automoton pilbox and was gunned down.
One once followed me in the creek for an entire mission without shooting. We named him bob, at the end of the mission he walked in front of a salvo of devastate missiles which finally killed him, but giving the only one of us left alive enough time to get in the drop ship. Rest in piece bob our little mechanical Helldiver🫡
It’s just a damage output bug . Happens to every enemy type. Sucks when it happens to bile titans or hulks . They will take all the orbitals and 500s and still walk
I in fact did know. I encountered a couple myself. One was stuck in the air, the scariest one walked through a huge mountain poped out then went back in and called a drop ship inside the massive rock. I would also like to bring up the ghost tanks,,ships, and hulks they are dead but a faint outline of them can be seen and there weak spot on the back
Yeah, had one of these boys a few days ago. he might be tough, but when he's in the middle of a base with a live hellbomb, his resilience isn't gonna do him any good
There are secret enemies you can find which..you waont believe it but its actually controlled by a player. They dress like helldiver, has the arsenal of the helldiver, wear helldiver’s gear. But they can devastate you behind you, from above, or before extraction. Watch your backs
There should be missions where we have to crawl through a mechanical jungle, so the bots have to chase us, but if we time it right, they get crushed by a 100 ton hydraulic press.
My brother in Joel, it's not a secret special Automaton unit. It's just a bugged bot. Usually they don't fire at you at all and remain unkillable. This is literally just a game bug.
An encounter with a terminator is a sign your game will crash and leave you stranded in a solo dive. If you see one, just flat out avoid them. My friends joke it is one of Joel's "Avatars" and attempting to kill it will invoke his wrath personally.
Those damn clankers are getting more powerful!!! I think there has to be some kind of misregister of damage that makes some of these monsters last longer.
Came across a few of these, The most recent time it never fired on us and followed the fire team for the whole mission. we called him Fredward. thought it was a dev taking direct control or caused by connection issues but none of us lagged out
Tbh I haven’t met any AT-AT since update, where they were added. It’s hella funny since when I say update dropped I got to play game as fast as I could
I once saw a clip of a Hulk that moved at abnormal speeds. Everything else looked normal speed, so I doubt the footage was accelerated! I wonder if that was one of the rare units!
This happened to my friend when he went to helldive on malevolon creek, he emptied mags into him, did nothing, threw nades, removed one of his arms, but the bot kept shooting, so he threw a 500kg bomb on him. He survived.
Although a defective type of regular bots it is very favored among the highrr ranks of official but the attempt to recreate such bot is near impossible, its ratio of creation is one in a million.
Lol, i remember times when flamethrowers was rare, now its like 20 flamethrowers and 30 heavy rocket launchers at the same time)) I remember Malevelon Creek and it was a child play comparing how game becomes now unfair and to difficult. You can facing with 4 heavy rocket launcher bots, tanks and shilded bots with extra heavy bots on 3-rd lvl of difficulty. Now difference between 3rd and 4rth lvl difficulty gone, and only difference 4 and 7 lvl of difficulty is amount of drop ships. And on 7 lvl difficulty tanks has more HP than on 3-4 lvl of difficulty. Amount of bots increased to values that game engine can't handle and enemy patrol spawns under the map and on players. My mates who was playing on console were crashing, my game on PC was starting from hardly lagging sound and 15-30 fps gameplay later as bots were spawning and spawning around us and under the map (due increase in spawn values in game). Some patrols can spawn in walls/hills or under the bot base and shooting you from there and not letting you to complete mission. I don't like how they making this game so unplayable and laggy and glitchy. Yes, there is some players that plays 9 lvl in solo and picking all extra-rare samples in 10 min, but those people living in this game, but we have irl things to do instead of playing 24/7, we playing for fun not work at second job))
Im afraid of the troopers for one reason.... they have the ability to call in a bot drop. And they ALWAYS do it the moment i run out of ammo in my mag for both guns so i cant stop them
True story. I have encountered this monstrosity. It didn’t shoot a lot, it just followed our group and wouldn’t die. Rather annoyingly, while it didn’t shoot much itself, it did keep calling reinforcements… the git.
I find one of these things almost every bot mission on 7 or higher. It’s SO ANNOYING but I just ignore them when I find them at this point, they’re just bullet sponges if you just walk away they’re no more deadly than if you just forget to kill one marauder in a group
I met a few that were floating, one was even standing on a fence; at first I just thought they were a graphical glitch, but no, I watched in shock as they fired away at my squad. This isn’t just me playing this up for drama, this legit startled me.
