Also, I used to love watching Love Island but since committing myself to the Lord, I no longer have the desire to watch it. There was one time I was curious since it kept trending on twitter so I went to check out some clips from the new season. While watching I realised it doesn’t hit like it used too. It was pretty boring and I wondered why I was ever so interested in the show but most importantly I saw things with new and spiritual eyes. From the spiritual side that show is full of lost people in need of Christ. It’s actually really sad

I went through the same contradicting thoughts when I was smoking weed. I was smoking to “keep” from other sinful behaviour. I was also fooling myself into thinking being high brought me closer to God or helped me to receive revelations from the word. It was weird and I quickly realised I was just lying to myself to hold on to that sinful habit. We’re called to be sober minded. I stopped knowing it wasn’t pleasing to God. This verse came to mind many times during this podcast. 📖“For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭16‬ ‭‬‬ Anytime we slip up we have to be sorrowful and repentant, pick up the cross and keep striving in the Lord.
