I hear all the time from parents whose children have drifted away from their Catholic faith either as teenagers or adults. These parents have done everything they can and pray for their children every day.
There is hope for you. There is hope for your kids! Dr. Michael Sirilla is LIVING PROOF of this.
Dr. Sirilla is a very dear friend of mine who grew up in a Catholic family and abandoned all of that as a young man to travel the country doing drugs and following the Grateful Dead. He had a massive reversion to Catholicism and is now a professor at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Guys, if you want to see what God can do in a person’s life, look no further than this episode!
One more thing-if there’s someone you know who is struggling in this area, whether they’ve drifted so far away from God that they don’t know how to come back, or a parent whose child has left the faith, can you share this episode with them? Pray with me for my homeless 36 year old son Philip who lives alone in the forest near Ft. Bragg, CA suffering with schizophrenia. I haven't seen him since he was 5 years old because of a divorce. He was not always this way. I believe God can do anything, and I thank Him and trust Him for everything. I know He can give Philip back the life he has lost. Thankyou, Linda Renoud

Please pray for my husband Jason Morgan who wrestles with alcohol addiction at its most extreme. He is unable to stop drinking even to his detriment. He is aware and he also is praying on his knees however is unable to stop. It is a cursed life for him. My heart breaks for him. Please pray for us!

Please pray for my son and two daughters. I am a new Catholic & raised our three children as Calvinist evanglicals. Our older daughter remains faithful to Christ in the tradition in which I raised her. She was heartbroken when I became Catholic. Our son still claims faith in Christ, but his "faith" is completely individual and he has no fellowship or spiritual guidance. Our younger daughter has had nothing to do with faith since she left home. My great prayer for all of them is that they would find Christ more closely than ever in his Catholic Church, and that our youngest would forsake the world, which she has embraced and has found great success in, and become a religious sister. I would be stunningly blessed for her, who is our most radical, to become a religious. Thank you.

I can relate to this story when I suffered the loss of my son. I did not do the drugs I did drink alcohol and was delivered. Jumping into all of those offhanded religions etc. Praise God for deliverance and healing and foresite and all that he is .Amen

Please pray for my daughter Lexi. She is trying to recover from crack cocaine use for about 10 month. She was clean for about 60 days and slid back to her old ways. In January she found out she’s pregnant and won’t stop smoking or using marijuana. As far as I know, she has stopped cocaine. Please pray for her recovery and for a journey to Christ. And please pray for me - I love the Lord and pray to Him, but I having difficulties with my anxiety and sleeping and it is hurting me and my family. please pray for my daughter and her husband who have left the Church, and are not raising their children in the faith as they promised in their wedding vows. They were once Latin Mass parishioners, he had discerned a vocation to the priesthood and discerned out, he attended a Catholic college, she attended a private Catholic school, was an active participant in many Catholic events for young adults, led a faith study for Christian Campus Outreach, and both are now even denying Eucharistic miracles. For the Glory of God, and their own salvation and for the sake of the children, to know the love of God and the beauty of our Catholic faith. Amen.
