No it was not. Once you are locked in, timing down, seeing the ball, the chance of the 3rd HR was a lot higher. Even in the cage, you have days when everything is a barrel.

Actually, being that only 2 other catchers have hit 3 HRs in 1 game in MLB history, I'd say it was a much lower percentage than that.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t mind guys getting excited. It is a game after all. but I do have a lot of that “old school” in me where I appreciate a guy just simply doing his job and not making a huge deal of it.
