You say that, but 4 rounds were just 'pick the character with a bow', two rounds were 'pick the character with a gun and no other visible weapon', one round was 'pick which Nobu is the Archer', so aside from that gimmick round that left only 4 rounds where it's less clear. One of those a bunch got it right anyway, the Moriarty one would've been clearer if they knew pirates are almost always Riders, and then there were the two event servants which are two of the weirdest Archers in all of FGO, so really you either make a wild guess or use a lifeline.

@@metacat3106 I was kinda hopping Aśvatthāman or Baobhan Sith making an appearance, because those are, IMO, some of the more WTF cases. Also, Minamoto no Raikō would have been fun. I think, but am not sure, it's the only one with a bow in the artworks but not an archer. Guns? There be plenty. But bow... can't think of any other off the top of my head.

It really comes because in Stay Night you get two archers. One who fights mostly with swords, the other who throws things from portals. When Saber uses a sword, Lancer a Lance, Caster is a witch, and assassin is either stab you in the back or explicitly not normal. It really stands out. Rider is either a bit part or summons a horse to murder you.

@@barryfraser831 Yeah, a lot of the memes about the Fate series comes from Stay Night since that's the typical entry point and what is most well-known. The trouble is that war is also the one that breaks the most rules/has the most irregularities, so it's not really a good case study for a typical grail war. Though Gil's original design (Prototype) did have a bow and was designed to fight slightly more like FSN Archer, only using the bow when he really means business, similar to how despite using swords/daggers a lot, when the other Archer uses his bow it's basically a nuke and is extremely hype when it happens. Personally I only see Gil as the one that's particularly odd as an Archer, the other one still fits the Archer concept well, just saves his bow for strategic/powerful hits not unlike how servants try not to reveal their true names/NPs.

@@metacat3106 That's fair. Archer still does break it somewhat with his noble phantasm. Honestly the 5th grail war was all kinds of screwed up. And lots of the logic doesn't work super well. Its almost as if it was written as a Eroge instead of as a proper story.

@@thegamerfe8751 FSN is a great story. But the fact of the matter is that it is a story meant to tie together sex scenes for a eroge game. Because of that consistent logic wasn't nearly as important as likable characters and powerful enemies.

But why would he? The point is to guess the archer it shouldn’t matter if they’re a proper servant or an event one

@@LeemVonNelly Because doing it otherwise makes no sense and leads to "huh why is this girl a cheerleader?". Guessing an Archer in a pool of swimsuit Servants doesn't make it easier or harder, just more consistent.

@@ViApp0 again that doesn’t rly matter tho if they wonder why she’s a cheerleader the whole reason this is a quiz is because half of the archers don’t even look like archers so there shouldn’t be a need to separate the serious from the silly

@@LeemVonNelly The criteria are different. Serious Servants have their weapons out so you can deduce their class. How are you supposed to guess that Jeanne is an Archer based on her hoop? Meanwhile Chiron and Tametomo have their bows out, same with Billy, Jane and their guns. All the other swimsuit Archers except Jeanne have weapons that can shoot something in their card arts, so this choice doesn't even work as a trick. It wouldn't look as bad if all the other options were seasonal Servants as well.
