I appreciate you saying what ever build is viable. I am an over the road truck driver. I have very limited time. often around 45 minutes every two or three days. Thank you for a straight up no bs guide.
Others have said this already but I very much appreciate your comment of any build being viable. I only play DH as an alt but I still felt some peer pressure to use the Inertia build which I just couldn't get the hang of. Switched to low movement and my DPS actually increased by a good margin just cause it's more comfortable. Enjoying my DH way more now :)
Thank you for the amazing guide! I haven't played Havoc since legion and really wanted to try it again, especially after the rework. And thank you so much for the section about playing the build you want too, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit hesitant to try Havoc again even after the rework due to not wanting to play the movement builds, but hearing all the points you made about playing the build you want to dispelled that hesitation. Edit: Also, thank you so much for the straight forward explanation and cheat sheets, Wowhead guide was breaking my brain lol
Hey Jedith once again , thanks for the tips , i follow u for a long time now , its nice to see a fellow main DH fighting for our class even in dark times . we finally got our deserved buff . keep the awesome work :)
Chaotic Disposition was changed with the raid opening btw. It now reads "Your Chaos damage has a 7.77% chance to be increased by 17%, occurring up to 7 times." It doesn't show up in the combat log anymore and it does not cause extra "proc" damage that you can track.
6:06 can you cast sigil first if you are too far away to damage with immolation? Just levelled my first character to level 70 and I tend to start with sigil, throw glaive, immol, fell rush etc Edit: I should've said that your videos are the easiest for me to follow and good job on making it so!
Also I never hear this enough so imma say it again for the people in the back. Vengeful retreat outside of combat. Your fury takes forever to deplete. You can easily sit capped outside of combat. Don’t VR into combat but def pre pull. Easy money. especially when running fell barrage build
I’ve always hated lining up vengeful retreat with essence break while in the air n trying to to get back in range. I hit eye beam, and essence break, death sweep, vengeful retreat into an instant meta at target, death sweep. Uses movement talents well without actually having to move :) hope this helps
i hate it too and have changed my opener a little bit(with ESSB). my opener is immo aura>sigil of flame>fel rush>the hunt>eye beam>vengeful retreat+immo aura>fel rush>ESSB>death sweep>meta>deathsweep>annihalation. im very happy with this opener.
I have seen this opener and Essence Break window: Opener: Sigil>Immo>Eye Beam (gets initiative)>FR>Hunt>VR>EssB>Deathsweep>Meta>Deathsweep>2xAnni>Immo>FR>Eye Beam. EssB window: Immo>VR>Eye Beam>FR>EssB>Deathsweep>2xAnni. This opener doesn't take into consideration the charge generation. But it tries to include Eye Beam into the Initiative window since we don't take Looks Can Kill anymore according, I kinda like it. What's your opinion? I've seen Blurnomnom post this rotation and VooDooSaurus. Also from Blurnomnom a Fel Barrage window: Immo>FR through>Immo>FR through>VR>Fel Barrage>Fel Blade>Sigil>Hunt>Eye Beam>Deathsweep. That has the 8 seconds up of Fel Barrage and let's you do more damage inside the Inertia window. Edit: My brain just realized that opener is the no proc opener with Fel Blade in the middle to close the distance.
The proc effect scales with ilvl, so if we upgrade them early, the dmg is good in comparison to our other low ilvl gear. Eventually we switch off it, as stated in the video
Does he do anything with Vengeance builds or tips. I loved this entire vid it was thought out and well done. Anyone know if he has other videos about tanking with a DH or who might have a Vengeance guide this well put together?
I played vengeance quite a bit, and quaziwow seems to be most coherent about vengeance. He breaks it down really well, and vengeance is an easy tank to use.
thanks for the videos they're awesome man> you do a great job explaining the information in an easy way to understand! Anyways thanks for the videos and I was hoping at some point maybe make one showing how you got your setup to look the way it does? thanks!
@Jedithtv Hey, great guide! I hope you can help me (or anyone else): How much RNG is built into the Havoc Spec? And how much does it affect it's performance or better yet how much does it's performance vary because of the RNG? From what I could understand from the talent tree, the RNG is mostly there regarding the resource system. Or does it go further? And other than that, how enjoyable is Havoc DH at the moment? How smooth is it's rotation? And how viable are the non-mover builds (since the mover builds are theoretically performing the best)? Thank you in advance :)
Excellent run down..I'm a new DH player and will be following you.. You got any links for your interface in game? I want mine to look like that lol What youre using and Weak Auras?
Thx a lot for this high quality guide but i dont understand why our bis weapons is this crit/haaste "double time" when crist mastery are our best stats? if someone has the answer i would love hear it
Hi Jedith, quick question regarding UBC, does it actually matter if we hit the boss with FR? Specifically for the opener, its a lot easier to FR and use the hunt (granted we get a proc) than have to move forward/felblade then FR
Hi @Jedithtv, I'm going to give you a tip. When you make skill lists like ROTATION or OPENER, if you place the skill icons, people who don't speak English will be able to understand more easily what they see on the screen. The skills in other languages are not called the same and it is a bit difficult to have to go to wowhead to translate each one :)
Is it worth to have Inertia for Eye Beam or is it just better to use eye beam before and then fel rush into death sweep etc? (new to havoc, mage main sorry)
Slight necro but got a question: Why Fel Rush AFTER Eyebeam in the No Proc opener? Shouldn't we want to FR>Eyebeam>The Hunt so that both spells benefit from the bonus dmg from Inertia?
You’re not looking to buff eye beam with inertia as eye beam barely does any dmg now a days. If you do it that way, inertia will not last long enough to line up with your essb and initiative
I use a rotation helper (hekili). I am assuming that it would calculate the next best button to press better than I could at least till I learn the new roation. Have you used a rotation helper addon? and if so, do you think its better to play with or without. Thank you and great vid as always!
Why isnt fel barrage used in single targeg? Would all misiles focus on theltarget? I'm loving the double blade rush thing. Is it to much of a dps loss in inertia fel barrage builds?
Thanks for all the helpful information! I love your channel and your way of explaining things. The only bad thing about DH being so good now, is trying to get into a group without another dh in it. On a side note..what mount is that???
My husband is the one who searches for groups. He knows if there's another dh in there, he better not queue us. LOL He doesn't always listen, 'cause he likes to piss me off. @@Jedithtv
Good video! I found out maybe at the start after getting toxic foot crafted, pairing it with a BSL on second craft would be better since i play m+ and raiding aswell (the 2 option - 2 BSL OR toxic+patch is strong either in m+ or raid but weak in the other scenario). Sims show aswell that its a middle path for both content, what do you think about it?
How does the soulscar talent work? The wording is so confusing. Does it deal glaive damage as chaos over 6 sec? Does it double the damage you deal in the 6 sec window as chaos damage?
Any recommendations on what to craft blue-silken linen on? I got reamed in the Fel Hammer cord because I made the boots dreamcrafted with BSL so that feels great.
Nice! now I'll do even more damage, I jumped in blind yesterday, not really knowing much and still top damage by a lot, ilvl 439 doing 240k dps in everbloom hehe, ofc last boss takes more damage so total will look better, but on my WW Monk I was just able to get over 200k in the same dungeon at ilvl 455, and that's a class I know very well, kinda rediculous and funny at the same time. Also I havent tried fel barrage yet, atm I am playing with the spinning blades ability, whatever tis called and essence break, I do not have the new tier set yet so, also I used Elysian Decree in a few dungeons instead of the hunt and total damage was actually higher with it, but thats prob cuz i do lower keys(14-15) and stuff dies fast, or maybe I use the hunt wrong, I dont have much exp with havoc yet as I said.
The fatigue thing is sooo true! I work 12 hours on raid day and come home literally 6 min before invite. I don't have any energy left to play something else than no mover. I even asked about moving raid dates to another time but Noone wanted it. I just work until 7 pm what can I do? Most groups raid that Timo or until midnight and that's out of question too since I begin working at 7 am the next day. Other groups just said I should quit raiding or play another game -.-
Ive tested fel barrage in some m+ now and It feels bad to stop basically everything u do (except fury gaining) for 8s while fel barraging. I was thinking maybe blind fury would fix this issue, thoughts? Also then it would make sense to use it foer opener since eyebeaming would make u go full fury, but for the downtime of fel barrage i guess it doesnt add anything. /fishidan
Best way to go about it is to use the No-mover build while progging a boss that doesn’t have a strict DPS check. Then switch to the mover build when you’re comfortable with the mechanics and with having the mobility of a Ret Paladin and can perform the rotation optimally. That’s what has always worked out for me tbh. Also you’re more valuable to your raid if you have the movement to deal with key mechanics than if you’re dealing more damage at the cost of that flexibility. Ask any good raid leader what they prefer. Don’t forget how valuable you can be as a DH. TLDR: Don’t be a Sheep! Use your brain and think about the situation you’re dealing with. Don’t use the mover build if you’re gonna need your Fel rush or vengeful retreat in the fight. Duh.
New fel barrage is so cool. The burst windows feel wonky with inertia build. Still trying to get used to it and might run my higher keys with a non-mover build.
I gave up on my DH a few patches ago because I just got so sick of always being fury starved and always having to wait for throw glaive before I could do any damage. Such a dumb and boring build for a class that is supposed to be lightning speed I just started watching, but I really hope a build where fat eye beams and massive death sweeps are viable again. One where pressing chaos slash can be a part of the rotation and throw glaive gets thrown in the trash. Here’s hoping, guess I am about to find out
Im new to the spec and have been recommended using Helkili. Can anyone confirm whether it's accurate? Im following the rotation Helkili suggests, but I don't feel im doing much damage on single target.
and then they got nerfed back because of that socalled big damage.i don't see very many dhs in the content we play and when you do its like one and you only knew it when they transform.
