Well... Its our leaders fault in the first place. You kept sending the homeless and crazies down to Waianae, so they stay away from the rich or tourist areas. Less poor = Less crime. We the Waianae people been crying about the homeless for years. Since the pandemic, it got so worse, because of your rules, you even wanted to send any criminals to the Waianae Police Station to be held. We've been complaining about the homeless and crazies way before Ms. Sprinkle. But now, that its gotten a big problem, now YOU want to step in? You should of done something when we started crying years ago. The problem is... You dont care about Waianae, only when its Election years. Power Back To The People!
Just make sure the public is on the same page of communication it was the problem with the fires and hopefully taking care of the public safety is priority
Every city lite lamp post includes a iR infraref camera, then thus with the city and county i.t. dept state mayors i.t. can implement a xentralized security database for triangulation of thebstates iR camera system that can be virtualized in realtime as if you were actually seeing with a mouse in 3d walking along side a culprit to get a better picture of one full face body in 3d! The nite vision lamp post camera can have rgb filter in software to vring back the nite vision grey scake to color to help better profile potential threat and thus better tracking in also location when these lite post cameras are connected to the spectrum city n county gov account these mac address and ip geolocation also maybe incorporated in tracking if and when supposed crime happens.
My opinion I am from Hawaii to keep Paradise the law enforcement must be firm Hawaii is overpopulated good is coming like the rest of the world you will not know your neighbor everyone will be Today self look what happened to New York in Chicago think about it
Attacking the crime and not the education, opportunity and resources then you lose a lot of the message. Crack downs will help short term but outreach programs are the best long term solution. Don’t paint Waianae are “a dangerous group” when the state is responsible for the disparity in economics on the west side over nearly a century.
Wainae needs more family input then anything else. Protest or just plain adding new programs will not solve a declining moral standards. Wainae should concentrate on family unity and more spiritual union ,speaking gun control is hot air, preaching the family value is pono and carries lasting resultß that waianae already has, just needs direction and conviction.
I believe this is the town hall Council member Andria Tupola talked about www8.honolulu.gov/nco/events/36-nanakuli-ma%ca%bbili-nb-regular-meeting-2024-08-20/
