When someone comes to “sit at [your] table” in person, they naturally want to bring and share recipes with you too. Doing Subscriber Sunday enables us to do that similarly… only virtually. Thank you for continuing it.
We are really enjoying trying and sharing new recipes from our subscribers. It's been a lot of fun for us. Thank you for watching our videos and supporting our channel. We appreciate it.
Hi Tom and Melissa 🥰 So happy to hear you will continue Subcriber Sunday for a while. We made this recipe and we shared the funny story about the guys eating it like chili. My nephew grabbed some brioce buns and sprinkled crumbled fritos on top of the meat mixture and called it a Hawaiian Joe (like sloppy joe). So my niece went and grabbed some hawaiian rolls and called it Hawaiian mini joe. 😋😋🤣🤣 We are so greatful Sherri sent in this appetizer. It's truly a keeper.
Oh, another looks so yummy recipe. I love recipes like this that can be frozen. Makes holidays or events so much easier when you have so much to do to get ready for them. Thanks for the grease draining tip. Such a great idea. God Bless you both.
I agree that make ahead recipes are very convenient. I like being able to have things ready so I'm not scrambling at the last minute to finish the meal. Thanks for watching our videos and supporting our channel.
Be ready to be asked for the recipe at the church dinner. It's that good! We'd appreciate you sharing our channel with your friends at church. God bless you.
Thanks for another great recipe Tom and Melissa and thanks to the lady in Murphysborough for sending the recipe to you. Never would have thought of this one, will have to give it a try. Stay safe, Fred.
That dip looks delicious, thank you for trying it and sharing the recipe with us...i agree about looking forward to the sunday videos from you both..glad you're keeping them going...Bless you both..❤🌻✝️🙏
We have truly enjoyed trying and sharing recipes from our subscribers. It's been fun and we hope to be able to continue the series. Thanks for watching our videos. We appreciate it.
Tom and Melissa: Both of you are wonderful people! God is definitely in your hearts. Love your Sunday food demo. Brings back memories when I did food demos for my seniors and disabled as an activity coordinator.
Thank you very much. Your kind words mean a lot to us. It sounds like you did some wonderful work, too. We are happy that our channel can bring wonderful memories back to you. Have a nice evening.
Subscriber Sunday is our favorite TV show! If you put me in a grocery store to live for a year, there’s still a 0% chance I would have come up with that recipe. It’s fascinating to see family recipes from different regions!
We totally agree and we have enjoyed it, too. We have a great time trying out new things from across the world. Thank you so much for the positive feedback on our channel and this series.
Tom I love that you add tips and tricks along the way. And are very thorough in your explanations. Great for any newbies watching you. Something I do as well any time I give someone one of my recipes. I can tell you were a wonderful teacher.
Tom and Melissa thankyou for your recipes I really appreciate you both for what you do you are such wonderful people I really enjoy your channel have a great week God bless you both 🙏🏻❤️🥰🧑🏻🍳🙂
Melissa, did you like this dip too? I looked on Pinterest to see if this dip is on there and it’s not. There is a Hawaiian dip but it’s made with ham, pineapple, green onions and cheese. Which may be good too! But it can’t be better than this one sounds like it is. I’ve got to try this one. Thanks, Sherry, for sharing. And thanks Tom and Melissa for sharing too! Without this wonderful channel I wouldn’t have found “The World’s Best Brownies!” And so many more I have made. Too many to list! My go to channel when I want to make something good! Love you guys! I’m so excited that y’all are continuing Sunday Sunscribers! Thanks!
Yes, I did like this dip! And I agree that with some rice and/or chips you could make it into a complete meal. We are so happy to read your nice comment. Your words encourage us.
Thanks for continuing the Sunday subscribers series! I tried Mrs. Fisher's baked beans. They were really good! When I pulled the dutch oven from my oven I thought "oh my I'm going to have to let this soak for hours to get it clean!" But that wasn't the case it didn't take too much "elbow grease" to clean it up! I have a recipe for mock apple pie that is made with zucchini and I swear you can't tell the difference. If you have never heard of it I'll send you the recipe. Not sure how common the recipe is among you and your viewers. Can't wait to try this dip! TFS
Wow what a new treat ty for sharing and ty Sherry this is going to be so good I love dips so happy for these Sundays Melissa your treat still coming enjoy y'all get together God Bless 🙏❤
An easy way to clean stuck on food is using the same method as you use to clean cast iron pans. Just boil water in it. It doesn’t have to soak overnight in the sink that way. Soaking overnight where I live (FL) invites neighbors that don’t knock 🪳and we don’t want those!
I don't have a Mock Apple Pie recipe, but I've heard about it for years. The one I've heard of has Ritz Crackers in it. Does yours? Maybe I haven't bothered to get the recipe because I'm not a huge fan of apple pie. I like it, but it's not my favorite. I would be happy to try it.
You're welcome, Kathy. I think you'll really enjoy the dip. Everyone at our get together seemed to love it. They divided up the leftovers so I think that's a good indication of how much they liked it.
Hello family it's Jeff from Maine what great look dip. Man you add rice to it You can put it on soft taco make nice dinner out of it with crushed up Fritos on top. Wow that sounds great. I'm hungry now. Love ya both
Thank you, Jeff for being at our table. We agree with you. This could easily become an entire meal. We hope you have had a nice weekend. Thanks again for watching our channel.
@@Jeff-pc7es Yum! And you can wash it down with a Moxie 😋 Are all the teachers going to fail me for starting a sentence with 'and'? Don't you get a pass if you know it's wrong and do it anyway 😇
Thank you. This sounds really good. Probably could get rotisserie chicken or pulled pork & do this as well. Can't wait to try it. Thank you both for providing all these delicious recipes. Enjoy your fellowship tonight.❤😊
Melissa, I have to thank you for including the recipes. I watch other channels that don't give the entire recipe, which means watching the video several times to be sure I've got the instructions right. (And some don't even list ingredients!) Your including everything means I can relax and enjoy watching Tom cook.
I love subscriber Sundays for great variety of tried and true instead of recipes pulled from somewhere that just sounds good. I'm gonna do this hawaiian 'tizer for sure, if I can find me a hawaiian shirt 😊. Thx to you both!!! Without Melissa's work making things easy for me, dunno if I'd be watching every single day, but maybe.
Ooooh my gosh!!! One of the members of the church made your recipe and she had several members ask her what was the recipe she had a whole table so she can explain to us and then she shared your RU-vid with us. Thank you so very much. This is delicious.!!!
Yay, I'm super glad you guys are continuing the subscriber Sunday series. It has really been fun and very great content each time. I always love to watch you guys and I learn something new every time. I am the same way as you are about scraping my bowls, pans, utensils, etc., because there is always a lot left and I want all of my ingredients too. It drives me crazy when I'm watching cooking shows on TV and they just leave so much stuff behind like they are so rich it doesn't matter!
Not a recipe I would have tried, just didn’t sound appealing. You and Melissa have never steered me wrong. I trust you and you sold me lock stock & barrel. Labor Day at the river will feature a crockpot of this “meat dip”. Thank you two sooo much!
Love your shirt Tom , very fitting for this recipe 😊. This sounds so yummy. I love everything in this dish. I’m with you on the golden raisins. I would use my meat chopper on this too and FYI, the meat chopper works great when chopping avocados for guacamole. My arthritis doesn’t allow me to use a fork to smash the avocados anymore. Thank you for sharing another recipe I know I will like. Have a blessed week. Thank you Melissa. 😊❤❤
Yaya! It's fun to watch guys cooking things you have never cooked before, the recipes are delicious. This week, I am making your grape salad. It's so hot here, we thought it would be perfect. ❤
You’re right, Tom. I would never think of putting these ingredients together!! But it sure does look delicious. I just wish it had a better name!! 🤣 awesome shirt!!
We used the name as the recipe came to us, but you can call it whatever you want! 😊 I think you'll like it no matter what you call it. And definitely wear some Luau clothes, too! Might as well have fun with it, right?!
This sounds fabulous. As always, I really enjoy all the suggested substitutions in the comments as well. I think ground pork, or ground turkey or chicken would work well with these ingredients.
Good afternoon Tom and Melissa. I cannot wait to try this. How interesting is this, and who would have thought, pineapple, raisins 🤷, I can only imagine how good this is. Thank you so much all of you for sharing this. Nice shirt Tom 🍍☺️👍👍💜🩷
Love how you "dressed" for the occasion, Tom! This is a must try recipe...I have one simular but with a taco flair. This is so easy and quick but people think you've done a big job. Bless you both for being so entertaining, too!
Dang this looks fantastic 😋😋 I love anything with pineapple in it !! This is a must try .. thank u guys for ur videos and so glad ur continuing ur series ❤❤ .. much love and God Bless u both ❤❤
Thank you so much for the quality control factor. We are definitely grateful for you going above and beyond the scope of your duties and making sure its just as awesome as your face says it is lol... Great recipe.
It sounds delicious and easy to make. So, I can make it and scoop it in a bowl and eat with a spoon😉❤. During this heat wave this sounds like the perfect and filling dish to make.
Maybe on King’s Hawaiian rolls like a sloppy Joe. I think water chestnuts would work in place of slivered almonds. Maybe serve over white rice. This has great potential. Thank you both.
Another fabulous recipe!! Every Sunday I rush home from church to come through the door, turn on the computer, turn on the printer and wait with great anticipation for the next great video. Thank you Melissa and Tom
Hello Tom & Melissa - this certainly looks to be a great recipe. I believe this would be a great dip for any get together occasion. Thank you to Sherry for sharing your recipe. Thanks Tom & Melissa for sharing this recipe with everyone. Have a great week 👏👏👏💕🌻
Tom, you are so right. I never would have put those ingredients together. Thanks for sharing. I always feel a little sorry for Melissa having to wait and taste later😊 Have a great day.
I think so! We like to make it our own after we've tried it once the way it's given to us. Thank so much for watching our channel and the feedback on the SS series.
Thank you for showing how to drain the beef. I never drained the cooked beef because I was told it dried out the meat and the fat is where all the flavor is. No wonder my chili is always greasy on top… lol 😬 Thanks for the help Edited to add: I love Subscriber Sundays!
You're welcome. It's so easy to drain the burger in the foil in the sink and not have to worry about it clogging the drain. I'm glad it was a tip that can help. Thanks for watching our videos.
Thanks for continuing Subscriber Sundays. I love recipes that are decades old and am going to try this one. I'm very surprised the bottle of Kraft BBQ sauce is the correct size 40+ years later! I bet this would be great with shredded chicken as the meat.
It's definitely different. We enjoyed it for its uniqueness. Thanks so much for the feedback on the series. We appreciate that you are at the table with us.
Thank you for another interesting recipe! I always love that your recipes are not the same ole', same ole'. Plus, if I do share the recipe, no one else will have the same thing, well, unless they watch this Channel, also. 😊 I made the True to the Red, White and Blue Salad twice and it soooo good!! I have a bowl of it in the refrigerator just waiting to be able to eat it. I brought the first one to my granddaughter's for supper last night. 😋
Hawaiian Meat Dip, WOW! as Tom always says, this looks so good and easy to prepare!! Melissa, how could you resist a bite lol?! Looking forward to making this as I have never had anything like it. My sis prepares a Hawaiian chicken dish but it’s more of a dinner casserole. I love that you can eat this as an appetizer or a bowl of chili, superb!! God bless you both ❤
I am like you, I like trying recipes that have been served for decades, endured the test of time. I am going to try this one at a church potluck, sounds like one that will be well received. I am also enjoying all of these subscriber Sunday recipes, thanks for sharing. BTW--love the shirt.
I love your videos, I watch even if it looks like something I wouldn’t like….. this one does not look like something we’d like!! Another great show though ❤️ Thank you… I lam enjoying the subscriber Sundays 🙂
Thanks so much for supporting our channel by watching our videos. We realize that every recipe isn't going to be a hit for every single person, but we appreciate that you watched and joined us at the table.
Melissa, I really enjoyed the video on putting up corn. I'd love to see one on canning tomatoe and green beans. I free up helping my mom with canning, but have forgotten so much of it now.
Thank you Tom !! For teaching me >>> this clever tinfoil in your sink tip ❤ for draining the excess fat .. this is very helpful >>> I appreciate your knowledge 😊
Good idea to use the pineapple juice instead of water to clean the barbecue sauce bottle. This looks amazing. I could even see it served over rice or possibly on a sandwich like sloppy Joes.
Tom and Melissa that looks fantastic. I am going to a friend's bday party later this month and plan on making this. While I was watching the video I was thinking this might be good to with shredded chicken. Thanks for all the terrific recipes, and Melissa for all her hard work videoing and all that comes with that. ❤😊
You just posted this recipe a little while ago, and my husband is trying to get me to hurry up and make it AND we just went to Food Lion after church to buy the ingredients to make your Kentucky Caviar. Tom, thank you for your "extra" attention to "quality control" wink-wink 😂. Thank you both. I absolutely love your videos and your recipes.
We are so happy you are going to try it. And the Kentucky Caviar has been a favorite of ours for years. It's so nice to have you and your husband at our table. Thanks so much for watching our channel.
Hello Melissa and Tom. The both of you are the best you tubers. Have a question, Here in Maryland, its been so hot(90s) and my excuse is I'm a senior and widowed don't feel like cooking in this heat. Could you do some more crock pot recipes durning this summer since America is suffering from extreme heat. Melissa, thank, thank you for printing out the recipe. So , so helpful. GOD bless you both.
I understand. We will try to do more for sure next summer as you have made an excellent suggestion. We are a little ahead in our video production right now, but we are always taking notes for the future! We appreciate that feedback. It's nice to have you at our table.
Absolutely love you channel. Can't tell you hiw many times o have made your sausage gravey to everyone's delight. Please tell me how you keep your porceline cookware so white!! Thank you for all your wonderful recipies!!! Love you both
Thank you very much. Your kind words mean a lot to us. That gravy is delicious, so Tom and I totally understand how popular it is. We wash dishes as we go and that helps prevent staining. Any time we have a break in filming, I'm washing and cleaning up, so we don't have a mess when the dish is completed.
Tom and Melissa it looks delicious 😋 something i would try. I looked everywhere for white chocolate Jello but no store had any so i i found cheesecake Jello it was ok so now im on a hunt for white chocolate in talking about your blue berry and strawberry salad.
I turn my sauce bottle upside down and let it collect at the bottom then pour it out. No water needed. Sounds good. Tried many of your recipes and they are yummy.
