@@goodolboys713 I love the Hawk content but just as a suggestion…buy a very common car that people tend to wrench on themselves and make videos how to repair it. I’m telling you, you have a knack for this but if I hadn’t bought a hawk I would have never found you.
Awesome video again. Love your simple mods. Is your chain slipping? I broke stock foot brake toe gripper and replaced with a bolt on billet. Was thinking about changing the foot pegs to something with a more aggressive grip. Have you tried any?
Thanks! I really try to keep the bike as stock as possible so everyone can see how the bike preforms stock. YES, my chain skips all the time, from my experience there is no way to prevent it unfortunately. I had to weld my peg a few videos back. To be honest I am used to the stock pegs (on many bikes, not just the hawk. So I haven’t felt the need to replace the pegs yet). I have seen the billet aluminum pegs, they would definitely be a lot more grippy, plus you can get them in many colors. Thanks for watching!
Hey man I really liked your video! Thanks for sharing! So I might be getting this bike in a couple days, I weight ~125lbs. Would I be able to go 65-70mph on the freeway?
It’s an excellent choice! I love mine! The fastest Iv ever got my bike to go is 65 and that’s flat out with the tallest road gearing you can get lol. I’d be very skeptical of all the 70- 80 mph claims people make. These are 16 hp bikes at best lol. I had a 2017 Honda 250l which is a 25 hp machine (they all have the same engine as the Honda cbr250 sport bike) top speed for that 25 hp bike was only 76 mph if that tell you anything. It’s a bummer that the hawk is highway legal and can’t really do highway speeds, BUT it’s an excellent bike and you definitely can’t go wrong with the bike! Thanks for watching!
Haha me too! I’m actually very suprised how far it has gone allready! We have a couple fourwheelers, older Honda rancher, rincon, ect. They all seem to need rings around the 4,000-6,000 mile mark. It will be crazy if the hawk goes past 6,000 miles without needing rings. It’s doing great at 4,300 miles right now, I could see it going past 6,000 without needing rings. We will see anyway! Thanks for watching and commenting!
If you’re talking about the shaft that comes out of the engine cases for the shifter, you’re looking at having to split the entire engine. Unfortunately it’s not a simple job. Now if it’s the shifter itself that’s broke, you just replace the shifter. Sounds like you might have to split the engine though if it’s actual shift shaft itself that goes into the center of the engine
Okay yes I do have to split the engine or I guess buy a new one for around 500 man it's up in the air or I could weld the shifter on to the shaft and be that kind of guy! Lol
Hey brother is there ANY way to give me the exact clutch arm and cable number or ANYTHING that will let me find it. I can NOT find a 250. Maybe send me a link? I’m in a bad way brother and I can watch your amazing instructional videos if I just had the parts.
My kick start lever on my rps magician has came loose but everything else so far is good I will maybe get to fixing the kick start while the silicone on the gas tank dries. If you don't see half the fun is fixing the bike then your only going to have fun half the time while it's running if that makes any sense 🤣
