I love the Hawker Sea Hawk because it's an amazing and awesome Fighter

Such a pretty aircraft.

Nice looking aircraft - as a child it was one of my favourite models. On the subject of the Harrier since you mention it in the video, Hawkers' solution to the need to keep the wieght down led to the decision not to use electric motors or hydraulics to swivel the jet nozzles - they used bicycle chains instead. Worked very well too. A friend of mine who was in the army 30 or so years ago once destroyed a Harrier during a joint services excercise. His squad was tasked with finding where the "enemy" forces were hiding their air liason setup, and sneaking through the forest came across not only the liason but an actual Harrier parked in a clearing next to the RAF tents. He wrapped a brick in cloth, wrote "BOMB" on it and managed to sneak up unobserved and place it in plain view just inside the edge of the air intake. Having regained cover, still unobserved, he and his squad then had to freeze in place because activity suddenly picked up in the encampment and the pilot came out to his aircraft. Without doing any walkaround check the pilot climbed into his cockpit and started the engine. The brick was sucked into the turbine destroying the engine with various bits of both brick and engine departing the aircraft through places that weren't supposed to have holes in them. In the subsequent court martial Ted was exonerated and the pilot was kicked out of the air force.

Ne-Ne engine, Aaaaaagh! Useless bots have done it again. There's two pronounciation choices, depending on whether you're east or west of Thrapston. And most Americans and the Bots get it wrong every time! East = Neen, West = Nen. Actually, I'm sure even the US Servicemen that are stationed close by to the Nene would know this? Good video though.
