The similarities and transitions between Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw to Hawk and Tadpole is absolutely stunning. I adore the way how you captured the battle between the two brothers and the fact that Hawk tried to save Tadpole was a very nice touch. I hope this gets the recognition it deserves because this is beautiful

I LOVE ho you shifted between the two scenes!!

I've watched this at LEAST 15 times and I just realized that it wasn't Hawkkit saving Tadpole but Tadpole saving Hawk when hawk presumably went under and breathed some water in. Tadpole was up on the box when he turned around in horror and saw his brother drowning--jumping in to save him. Sasha picked up Hawk from Tadpole because Hawk was barely conscious, only conscious enough to watch as his brother Tadpole went under from exhaustion. Theres an added weight to this distinction. Hawk very likely carried this with him for the rest of his life that it was his fault that Tadpole drowned--that he should have drown in his place. His hesitation to bite Brambleclaw by his nape was very potentially rooted in this terrible seeded guilt that he killed his brother. Poor baby was just slapped in the face by pure PTSD when Bramble shoved a spike in his neck. Sorry for the random deep analysis on your art video I just cannot begin to explain how much I love this video.

I swear, I almost cried when I saw Hawkfrost letting Brambleclaw go and know I REALLY want an au where Hawkfrost has a redemption arc

i think what kills me with this the most is that tadpole opens his eye one last time to look up at hawkfrost before he disappears under the water

I really liked this. I love how you can feel everything that’s happening, you did a great job with weight, impact, and timing. When Firestar yanks on the fox trap, when Tadpole tries to pull himself up on the curtains, when the pipe bursts. That coupled with the incredibly smooth transitions makes this so engaging to watch. Not to mention how clear and expressive the way you draw expressions is, you can see the hurt and betrayal on Hawk’s face when Brambleclaw saves Firestar. Really awesome job on this :D

Gosh I can’t even put into words how much I love this.

Hawkfrost has never been my most favorite character, but this really brings out his personality BESIDES from Tigerstar’s influence on him. I really, really love this and it does make me feel a little sympathy towards Hawkfrost.

I love the bit at the end when you showed Hawkfrost hesitating as he remembered Tadpole. I wish this had become an AU when Brambleclaw didn’t kill Hawkfrost and he continues to live and eventually confronts his father in the Great Battle.... wait a minute. Ima write a fanfic!!

You make it seem so . . Frantic. Not just the fight but also the drowning, it's not quiet and gentle its panic all around

Ok this is weird cus I never comment on stuff, but.. I kinda grew out of the whole Warriors thing and recently I felt really nostalgic for it so I decided to see how the community was thriving. Any time I remembered Warriors I thought, man, this series was so childlike and kinda dumb... But THIS. Is so beautiful. I actually can't stop listening to the cover and watching this video. Your sense of storytelling is amazing and, even though it's an animatic, you can tell you have a great understanding of cinematic techniques. The expressions on the characters. The whole thing is so dynamic and emotional. Anyone who isn't a Warriors fan would probably get the gist of the story, and on top of that, I think you've portrayed it in such a mature and professional way that makes it stand out against all the PMVs and AMVs you see every day. It's not just, "hawkfrost evil, brambleclaw good". You actually convey Hawkfrost so creatively with his backstory and how it affected him. I love how he hesitated to kill his brother at the end. I actually felt bad for him, he spared Brambleclaw only to suffer a horrible death in return. I hope you continue your work in animation, I think you will be really successful. Keep doing what you love, and keep up the good work! X

I've never seen Hawkfrost from this perspective. I've always just seen him as that one evil bad guy. It was really refreshing to see his character represented with depth and being more than just a villain with bad intentions. Great job!

THIS RULES SO HARD! Your art is so expressive and dynamic, and I ADORE the parallels between Brambleclaw and Tadpole! Hawkfrost having this intense trauma in his past and projecting his dead brother onto his newfound brother later in life is just such a tragic story, and the way he snaps when his expectations are subverted is sooo interesting!

This is beautiful. It really shows Hawkfrost's character other than being a rough and power seeking. He just wanted to be a good brother, he just wanted to be loyal, he just wanted too much

This is one of the saddest Hawk/Moth/Tadpole animatics I’ve ever watched. It’s so well done and beautifully drawn like holy shit!! Tadpole’s story is truly so sad, Hawk’s grief for him must’ve never ended, meeting Brambleclaw must’ve been a real setback for him, having the opportunity to have that extra family, including his father and biggest influencer, Tigerstar. I’m in love with the idea of this animatic.

Hawkfrost is my favorite character in these books, even though I’m told a lot he’s one of the biggest failures when it comes to villains. I could hardly hold back tears throughout this whole thing, it was so expressive and emotional and finally gave my boy some attention! Even Tadpole! Thank you so much for making this absolute masterpiece! (Also when Tadpole slid into the water I was s o b b i n g)

I usually don't comment on large warrior projects like this anymore but I have to admit I'm absolutely taken away by how clean and gorgeous you laid out everything and truely made it into something dynamic and heart hitting. The last bit of hesitation Hawk feels before letting Bramble go before grabbing the fox trap is such a good moment in absolutely in love with this!

Wow this is amazing! The art is beautiful and and the story is so well played out! It really made me think of Brambleclaw and Hawkfrosts relationship in a way I hadn’t really before. He was just so happy to have another brother after he lost Tadpole and he truly did care about his siblings. Almost every bad thing he did was to help one of his siblings, fake the sign from Starclan so Mothwing could be med cat like she wanted, and try and kill Firestar so Brambleclaw could be leader

WOAH THIS IS GORGEOUS!!! I swear, half of these views have to be mine, I’ve re-watched this so many times! I love everything about this!!! I love how it switched between the scene with Tadpole’s death and the fight with Brambleclaw, it gave me CHILLS and is CONTINUING TO GIVE ME CHILLS EVERY TIME. Your perspectives are amazing too, it’s all storyboarded so well!! Your art style is beautiful, it’s exactly how I imagine these cats in the books, it’s a perfect mix of realism and human expressions, but not enough to give off uncanny valley vibes. The raw EMOTION in all those scenes was pERFECT. GOOD JOBBB!!! :D As far as I’m concerned, this Hawkfrost’s character is better than cannon-Hawkfrost: cannon-Hawkfrost was pretty much just blue-eyed Tigerstar 2 with no real personality except mUrDer, but this gave him some depth for once!

I never thought a Hawkfrost video would make me tear up but WOW! The way you did the movements as Hawk, Tad,and Moth struggled to get out of the water and seeing their terrified expressions really got me. This is honestly such an amazing animatic, you're so talented!! ;O;

I love this take on Hawkfrost. Makes me wonder if his main motivation was his family. He lost his older brother, who he looked up to and followed. After Tadpole died he started to look out for Mothwing(even if it wasn't how she wanted) the clan would accept and respect a Medicine cat even if they weren't clan born, and she would always be welcome. Then with Brambleclaw, he was making him leader before himself. Because again leaders are respected. I think Bramblestar was definitely a stand in for Tadpole, he never cared about Tawnypelt but Bramblestar was a completely different story. I think he was lead down the wrong path by his father's ghost(who I think visited him for a very long time). I think tigerstar planted in his mind they needed those positions to be accepted by the clan and have a secure future. Hawkfrost will do whatever he needed to in order to protect his siblings.

This is one of the most detailed animatics I’ve ever seen. I’m so used to seeing animatics that are just simple sketches. Some of the movements are so smooth it looks like it’s already animated. Keep up the great work.

Can I just say how rare it is for someone to make it Hawkfrost who charged first at Brambleclaw? I adore that a ton. The emotion in it was so good!

OMFG THE PARALLELS BETWEEN HAWKFROST AND TADPOLE AND THEN HAWKFROST AND BRAMBLECLAW AND THE TRANSITIONS BETWEEN EACH SCENE WERE AMAZING AND HIS HESITANCY TO KILL BRAMBLECLAW WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFULLY SAD TOUCH OMG These types of Warrior animatics are my FAVOURITE. Since the books unfortunately don't always give depth to some of its characters, I really, REALLY appreciate it when these characters are given depths by fans through works like these! Seeing this portrayal of Hawkfrost is honestly something I've never seen before, but I love it because it both makes sense based on what happened in canon, and it gives him such an interesting layer and something besides "I'm going to just do everything my dad says and be evil just because lol" Overall I just love this so much, and I'm definitely gonna be rewatching this a few more times to appreciate both the beauty of both the composition, the art, the story, _and_ the depiction of the characters.

Can I just say how sad it is that Hawkfrost basically suffered the same fate as Tadpole? I mean, I know that Bramblestar killed him, but in the end he sinks to the bottom of the lake just like Tadpole. Sad.

Okay. Don't mind me while I write and essay on how good this is. So to start, your expressions and storyboarding are flawless, the perspectives are so good, I can't imagine it playing out any other way. it paints Hawkfrost as a very interesting and complex character than he is in the books and I love how you imagine the scenes. Hawk just wanted approval, he wanted somebody to rely on, he wanted to help bramble, and when his brother denied him he was heart broken and confused, but he couldn't be the cause of another family members death. The way in bounces from one scene to another is amazing, and its almost like you have a inside to hawks thoughts and memories while he's fighting bramble. The use emotions and art in this are beautiful, the way Hawk realizes his brother is drowning from Tadpole's perspective is amazing, and the pure struggle when hawk tries to save him, and we see his perspective as he struggles on the surface of the water, and I simply love the scene where he notices its about to flood. the way you planned out the fox trap scene is amazing, and the fight is just beautiful. just perfect. and then theres 1:11 I could spend all day talking about this scene, hawks tired and defeated and sad expression as he's pulled to safety is just-- just heartbreaking and perfect. and then Tadpole struggling below and how he tries his best to hold on even when his head goes underwater. it just hits me right in the feels. its beyond flawless. you should be very proud of this. its the best warriors animatic-- and I think pmv overall I've ever seen. good job.

Just to see that tiny twinge of fear, regret or whatever that was in hawkfrost just before he died was really good! Made him feel more like a person (cat?) and less like a 1 dimensional big bad villain

wow this is phenomenal... the expressions are perfect. you can tell instantly what every character is thinking and feeling at each moment. your timing with scene changes and movement really help add to the emotion too. it made me feel genuine pity for hawkfrost... and bravo on fleshing out your thoughts on his character so well in just a couple minutes too. you fit the narrative into the video just right, you paced it out very well, knew exactly what expressions/scene changes would convey which thought/feeling to the viewer, and you made it all cohesive and very interesting to follow. love it. you have great visual storytelling skill.

Okay, real talk here for a moment. I've never read Warriors. It's never been something that really interested me. THIS ANIMATIC THOUGH IS SO INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE. Your expression work and movement are honestly amazing. Moments like 0:26 where you have changing perspective, movement, and story-telling expressions really shine through. You can totally tell that Nikkehy can do full animation. The creative transitions (especially at 1:10) are not just super creative, but also convey emotion. You didn't just tell this character's story, you highlighted the change in the characters' relationships. Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to express how impressed I was with your drawing skill
