Nick, it would be an added bonus if you would stamp your magazines like others do, make it easier to differentiate between the short action standard bolt face vs the short action mag bolt face. I have started marking mine with paint to quickly differentiate them. Thanks for making a great product!
hey Nick - thinking bout a build on a Defiance UL XM - would be running a 6.5Saum and a 6.5x55AI (different barrels and bolts). Saum is catered for, but I would like to simply change barrels bolts and mags for calibre change. Is there a Medium length mag option to cater for the 6.5x55 case? Thanks
On a Defiance XM+ you could run the 6.5 SAUM with no issues on our medium Hunter DBM and Medium Hunter magazine. We don't currently have a standard bolt face Medium length magazine yet though.
Does this magazine work in any AICS pattern DBM? Also is the Hawkin's M5 DBM the same footprint as Badger? I have an LRH on the way and am really a fan of APA's RTG for hunting builds.
The short actions work with AICS pattern magazines. XM/MED work with MDT magazines. In the Long Action you need to run a Hawkins Hunter DBM with a Hunter magazine. The M5 inlets are very close, ours is based off the Badger. For best fitment always best to pair a Hawkins bottom metal with these mags if possible.
We are working on a LA standard bolt face magazine. (280AI/284 WIN ideal) However, a standard R700 would need to be modified to handle the added COAL/length of this magazine in our bottom metal.
