That’s a shame. Unfortunately your experience is not everyone else’s. This installed unit is still working perfectly from date of installation. Sorry you had a bad experience, maybe it’s not the unit but other contributing factors. Look outside the unit for cause. Or maybe it was just a faulty part. Contact Hayward tech support if it’s still with in warranty period. They will help
@@debbieross4178it doesn't really matter because the flow switch is what activates it, but you can put it where the chord is closer to the outgoing flow
