Does sense and dispense really work? That is big cost to add but might be worth it if you can do without a pool guy and just test the water few days a week.
Hayward makes good products, my pool is 100% Hayward components but Hayward doesn't support its customers with its legacy automation products. ProLogic automation was a great platform but recently the Hayward ProLogic AquaConnect servers have failed several times and the system is so slow its almost useless. Then Hayward announced an upgrade plan for Prologic customers to a new package called OmniPL Upgrade Kit. But that kit isn't available yet. Very frustrating for current customers, many looking to transition to Pentair for a system that is currently supported.

We received reports of some users not being able to connect through the app. Here's a solution to restore the access: 1- Sign into the account from the AquaConnect website, www.aquaconnectweb.com 2- Click on “Remote Control”. 3- After a short few seconds, the equipment labels should appear and the "null" error is cleared from the app. If “null” is still appearing on the app, try the following to refresh the labels: • Close the app and re-open it. • If closing and re-opening the app does not clear the error, try logging out and signing back into the app. Please try these steps and get in touch with us if you need anything else. @@HaywardLatAm Thank you for the quick response. Perhaps I need to clarify the issue. I have NEVER had a null error. Im speaking to the issues surrounding sluggish performance after the recent AquaConnect Server issues and two day off line failure that occurred. Specifically when you log into the smartphone App OR the desktop web interface the system is not usable due to the performance. I.E. When you get logged in and you want to go to a MENU or SETTING, you can normally click on the radio buttons and you get no feedback response for 15-30 seconds and then it would only respond some of the time, not all the time. I called Hayward Support and the Tech logged into my account and experienced the same performance issues. This is a server performance issue not an App issue. I'm happy to contact a senior support tech and have them log into my account for direct access troubleshooting

Can omnihub control a mister system? I have pool (1 vs900 pump, 1 hayward light, 2 water festures, skimmer, vacuum) and kio pond (vs pump, water feature, 3 lights, 2 sets of water jets, bubbler) also have mister system, and landscape lights that would be great to add. Is hub the right tool?
Hello- you need to check the installation to see if you have high voltage relays available; if not you may need to upgrade to a larger system to be able to add more control functions.
Does the Omnihub really work with the Sense and dispense? My local rep says it does not and you have to have the PL or the Logic. So who’s right? The owner manual also says it does but again my rep consistently says it doesn’t.
Hello- you can use Sense and Dispense (HL-CHEM) with an OmniHub, just ensure you have the required accessories: 1-AquaRite salt chlorinator with the communication board- to connect to the Hub 2-Flow switch for the Hub 3-smart relay for acid pump and 4-lastly that the system is updated to the latest revision.
Can SR Smith lights be controlled with OmniHub? I was sold PooLux lights and not ColorLogic (not sure why when everything else they sold me was Hayward...)
I just installed an Omnihub and yes it can control the SR Smith lights. But they work the same as the SR Smith remote. Quick on/off advances through the color options. When my SR Smith lights die I’m going to upgrade to Hayward lights, but even now the scheduling and ease that I get using my iPhone is an improvement so I’m glad I added my SR Smith lights to my Omni Hub.
Hello Daniel, Wi-Fi signal strength is very important to ensure proper connection. In some cases the router needs to be upgraded to get better signal outside on the equipment pad. The OmniHub also works with an ethernet cable and it helps ensure a constant connection.
Hi guys after being on backorder I finally got my pump installed today, I have some questions if anyone monitors this channel. Does have having the Omni hub controller disable the onboard Pump control box? mine has no power at all. The Controller does work and control the pump but what if the hub goes bad? how do you control the pump at that point of the onboard control box isnt working?
Hello- yes, if controlling with an OmniHub the pump on board controller is disconnected in order for the automation system to have full control of the pump. If needed, you can always reconnect the pump controller if the automation system is not being used and disconnected.
Im planning to get one of these systems to upgrade my pool, I have a typical clock switch powering my pump and Aquarite Chlorinator, besides the smart relay do I need a special card for my current Aquarite?
We had to purchase a daughter board for the Aquarite Salt system to work with Omnihub. It ran $100 from the local pool store. I’m trying to find more info on using the automation system with the chlorinator from the omni. When it is setup, we found that we cannot override the omnihub using the Aquarite controls directly. The omnihub isn’t reporting the information from the Aquarite....
@@felisanatoronce you upgraded the firmware did you get the instantaneous ppm salt, voltage, etc on the diagnostics pop up in the mobile phone app? It’s Nov 2023 and I don’t. I can only set the percent, turn on super chlorinate, and turn it on/off. The remote overrides the AQR 900 settings but that’s fine with me. I just don’t want to have to go to the panel to look at the chlorinator values when it should be easy to get on my iPhone!
