Police cars mai already warning light lgi hoti hai red- blue wali. They act as hazard lights only. So it doesn't matter police on krke chalti h ki nhi.

Tbh in extreme rain/fog scenario hazard lights make sense & extremely helpful, speaking from experience since it is easier to spot and keep distance from other cars as well as know the road trajectory ahead of you. You’ll know it when you encounter a really bad rain.

I don't think PPL dissing hazard lights have driven in the extreme fog in North India or the cloudy mountain roads. Hazard light is the only option there. And I have hardly seen any sane driver driving beyond 20kmph with hazard lights on so moth effect isn't a big factor

There's a reason why people use them during foggy conditions. Fog me pta hi nhi chalta if there's a car ahead or not and sirf hazard lights hi dikhti hai.

Yeh sare RU-vid pe Instagram pe cool bante hai. Extreme fog mai hazard lights on kar ke chalna helps fellow people on road to communicate with eachother to understand the road. Tum log ya toh kabhi highway pe with extreme fog gaye nahi ho ya tumhari cheel si ankhein hai. Magar rear fog lights se better visibility hazard lights ki hoti hai. Toh ab aap log kitna bhi chutiya samjhe but people who actually go on road and get their job done while you guys make stupid content.

I totally agree with you, hazards light really helps. I travelled from Jaipur to Delhi whole night with the help of hazard light. Maybe this is not in the motor vehicle act but in practical life it is very useful while travelling.

In very low visibility, only hazard lights are visible, so it makes sense to use it. Hazard light only for emergency makes sense when cars have dedicated rear fog lights.

This is something which is so obvious but no one notices. Another thing is walking on right side of the road. At least on 2 way streets it is so obviously safe to walk on right since you can spot oncoming traffic but no one even notices it.

Best thing to do when there is low visibility is to switch on parking lights and then switch on fog lights (not full turn which switches on headlights).Just the fog lights all the time either in the day or night for fog situation or even heavy rain. Can use just parking lights in case a car doesnt have fog lights. Parking lights also switch on rear pilot lamps so it increases visibility with out having to use hazard lights. Dont need rear fog lamps. Just pilot lamps are enough. People genuinely dont have any idea what to do cause they either dont have any brain cells left or just have very few, so they just follow others who ever switch on their hazards during rain.

Parking light should be used especially during emergency braking so that you should give upcoming cars a warning that vehicle has stopped abruptly

During extreme rains atleast it alerts people on road. Ideally bahot kuch nahi hota hai to sometimes you have to go with herd mentality. Example jiske car me indicator nahi hai vo hath se indicate krta hai. So adapting may be better option until people learn to exactly by rules.

Because maximum cars do not has rear fog lights so we use indicator lights in fog and rain. If govt makes rear and front fog light compulsory people will use them at the end people has to suffer in any mishap. So one should any thing to keep himself visible on road

Hazard light is most misused feature, it should have 30 second limit. Vehicles with ADAS are good in Fog conditions but REAR yellow fog lights should be mandatory.

Dude if US allows the lights to make sure you are seen in rain, fog because and emergency also it is allowed when you are going at top speed limits on bikes due to car's doing their best to hit them. In India this is catching on if we dont get fog lights for rain/fog then it is supposed to be given for free of charge to every 2 to 4 wheelers

My Wagon R VXi 2012 BS4 has Rear Fog Lamp (on Bumper Center Bottom mounted) works well in Fog. From 2014 onwards Maruti Suzuki Stop Giving in same model.

If you feel the visibility is low enough to turn on hazard lights, then you should stop to the side and wait for the visibility to improve.

Just because it is in some rule book . That's not right . During very low visibility both indicators on gives a very good visibility . And moreover not all cars are equipped with fog lamps .. but all have the indicators

Hazard lights are not parking lights...when you switch on your pilot lights or parking lights on two yellow lights in front and two red lights at back light come automatically on by default...apparently some cheap cars in india wont have it although is an old system.
