The story of Hazrat Suleman (King Solomon), Malika Bilqees (Queen of Sheba), and the bird Hud Hud (Hoopoe) is mentioned in the Quran. This account can be found in Surah An-Naml and Surah Al-Isra.
According to the story, Hazrat Suleman (AS) possessed great knowledge and power bestowed upon him by Allah. One day, Suleman (AS) noticed that the bird Hud Hud was absent from his assembly of birds. This concerned him because the Hoopoe was known for its loyalty and obedience.
Suleman (AS) asked his courtiers about the whereabouts of the Hud Hud. The bird finally appeared before Suleman (AS) and informed him of a distant land ruled by a queen known as Bilqees (Sheba). The Hud Hud described the land and its people, and how they worshipped the sun instead of Allah.
Upon hearing this, Suleman (AS) commanded the Hud Hud to deliver a message to Bilqees, inviting her and her people to Islam. The Hud Hud faithfully carried the message, addressing Bilqees and emphasizing the oneness of Allah, and Suleman's (AS) prophethood.
Bilqees received the message and summoned her advisors to seek their counsel. She decided to send gifts to Suleman (AS) to test his knowledge and wisdom. Bilqees sent a caravan laden with treasures, and when it arrived in Suleman's (AS) court, he was not impressed by the material wealth.
Suleman (AS) requested the presence of Bilqees and her people, asking if anyone could bring him the throne of Bilqees before they arrived. One of the jinn, who had the ability to travel swiftly, volunteered to accomplish this task.
When Bilqees and her entourage arrived, Suleman (AS) asked her if her throne resembled the one brought before him. Bilqees was astonished to see her throne in Suleman's (AS) court, as the jinn had brought it in a fraction of time.
Witnessing these miracles and Suleman's (AS) extraordinary knowledge, Bilqees realized the truth of Islam and acknowledged the greatness of Allah. She embraced Islam and joined Suleman (AS) in worshipping and submitting to Allah.
