This bus is 8440, a Euro 2 Dart with an Allison AT545 gearbox that sounds absolutely brilliant, and is possibly in its last month of operation. Enjoy the screaming whine!
You guys need to head over to Bucks and do the Red Rose routes like 16 from Aylesbury and 73 from Amersham They’re not all in the best of nick, I admit but it depends on the Dart. Plenty of good thrash easily achieved on the Bucks rural mystery tours and Red Rose have a wide variety of Darts, including ALX200s from Abellio (new to Connex as DAs) and Stagecoach, 2 Spryte cans new to Red Rose and a load of Pointer 2s, ranging from W reg ex Abellio (new to Capital Logistics), Ex London Central LDPs and a few Euro 3s (not sure where they’re from)
Oh that's happened before, WVL27 wasn't used for over a month and is now back in daily service at Camberwell. But I can confirm this one is truly done for, I'm surprised it lasted so long to be honest!
