Are these compatible with the ARB Universal Bracket. Are they available in the US? I have ARB Universal Mounting Brackets. I have the ARB Aluminum Cased Awning and Deluxe Room. Definitely need these for quick release. Thanks for the video.
Sold. It's something I need. What are the last two knobs you bolted on the awning? What are they there for? I have a Rhino-Rack Batwing mounted on a Rhino-Rack flat steel rack. Will these fit?
Hi there, yes HD Hitch Standard with Adaptor Bars definitely OK with the Rhino-Rack flat steel rack. Extra knobs are the Prop Cleats - these allow you to make your awning freestanding - all you need is a couple of extra poles and guy ropes - Prop Cleats and instructions in the kit on how to do this :) Cheers Team RacksBrax
Wish you would show us how to actually set up the free standing tent. Can you please tell me the name of the part that connects the vertical tent poles to the horizontal pole? I dont understand how a C clips attaches to the TOP of the vertical tent pole. The ones I see on amazon just hav a thin gap at the end to slide a strap of fabric but I dont see how this will attach horizontally to a vertical pole.can you send me a link to the part I'm referencing?
What material, are these made from? If they are plastic isn’t there a concern for breakage under condition during OffRoad? Hopefully these are or could be made of a more robust material. Seriously interested in a few sets if they aren’t a plastic material
The Bodies, Holders, Covers, Pins and Prop Cleats in the HD Hitch range are manufactured from fully engineered, UV stabilised glass-reinforced nylon. Load testing has been carried out to ensure the safe loading of 20kg per Hitch load point is indeed, safe. We found that the brackets which mount the awning break first before the Hitch is compromised in any way.
i could potentially use it as an outdoor awning or a mini car port for the car at home and when I head out for a trip I just slap it onto the side of me car and im off. possibilities are endless it seems.
Hi Gabe, the 30 Second doesn't work with this one but it does with our XD Hitch + XD Multi-Awn Adaptor (each sold separately). Both these products, you can view on our website for more information, link in description 👍
Weight-wise the Bushwakka Extreme is not a problem. Unfortunately the HD Hitch Standard and our new, almost released, XD Hitch, does not suit the Bushwakka Extreme awnings either. The spine on the Bushwakka Extreme awning is too deep for the new XD Hitch (designed for the wing awnings with spines up to 120mm deep) and we are yet to develop adaptor bars to suit. This is someway off unfortunately...
