→ Join me as we try to beat this severe storm approaching San Antonio in true Southwest style - turnin' n' burnin', baby! If we didn't beat this storm, we would have been delayed overnight and my entire trip would have been thrown off... Anyway, welcome aboard this Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 with service to Orlando! Sadly, due to the fact that reflections exist, the taxi part of this video is super reflectionized - making it really hard to see what's going on outside. We blast off SAT's runway 4 and make a long, hard right turn to avoid the majority of the storm, but we're not out of danger yet. There is still a smaller cell to the south that we just can't avoid. As seen in the thumbnail picture, the yellow light is from the wing tip light, while the white light is from constant lightning (per the captain). It's a pretty cool thing to witness! Below, you will find all the flight information your heart can desire!

Welcome to my channel! My name is Scott. I work for a major US carrier as a ramp agent. I upload every Wednesday (and occasionally Sunday) at 3PM MST. It will almost always be a full flight video, but sometimes, you’ll get an arrival, departure or even a rare planespotting video! It's all so random, so keep checking back!
I hope you consider subscribing to this ever-growing channel! Planes are calling my name, so come join me on a great journey, you won't be disappointed!

I remember leaving home/San Antonio for a work assignment in Hannibal Missouri. The connection was through IAH and the weather out of San Antonio was kind of bad but not too much for significant delay. The flight out Houston got delayed like I landed around 9am and my flight got pushed back so far that the takeoff didn't happen until around 845pm. Then once in the air we experienced the worst turbulence I'd ever felt. I was in first class with other frequent flyers and even they were gripping the seats. I've flown nearly 300 times since I started this job in 2022 and that was the absolute scariest thing I've experienced on an airplane and turbulence 99% of the time is something I ignore

Did someone say “that does not sound right” referring to the engines noise? Cuz that’s exactly what they are supposed to sound like. Lol

Apparently she never heard the climb thrust set sound. Someone like her needs to drive everywhere because she sounds like she always want to be right.

I used to be afraid of takeoffs myself and had the same feeling growing up…Don’t judge a book by its cover. You don’t even know what she’s going through.

If the captain says we’re ready to fly then it’s good no matter what.

Nice video. I didn't see anything scary. Light chop through cumulus clouds and precip. The worst of the weather to the east was avoided while the heavier precip to the south was crossed at higher altitude. I think most of the flashes were the strobe lights (white on wingtips and the red "beacon" on the fuselage). Hope MCO was fun!

We try to avoid it how ever there are times we have to due to amount of air traffic. Lightning strikes can occur. Thats not yhe brst thing. If i give the green light then away we go
