I wanted to share my experience of my first Dave & Tim show I attended in Las Vegas in December 2009. It was a magical night and I was glad to have experienced it.
Thanks to both of them for "playing music"!

I have seen DMB many, many times. The best performance of Bartender I have ever heard live from DMB was on August 19, 2008 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. I thought it was strange that they would open with this song given the vocal range and passion Dave has to bring to it. What made everything make sense, and why the song was delivered in such a stiring fashion that night, was because...LeRoi Moore past away hours before they took the stage. I will never forget that evening.

I had just seen them 3 days prior (8/15/2008) and they opened with bartender as well. I believe LM was in hospital at the time so JC and RR (I think) were on the horns. It was a great show, nobody thought that LM would pass just a few days later. Crazy and sad. Luckily I was able to see the original lineup 5x before Leroi passed. Still a fan today and have now been to 32 shows. #33 will be 5/31 this year(2024) @ the Woodlands. As long as they continue touring, I will continue going to as many shows as Im able. We will be bringing our 5yr old daughter to her first show this year. She has grown up listening to us playing DMB and knows the words to a bunch of their songs, tripping billies & ants being her favorites so we're hoping they play at least one of them for her! Oh, and I think Buddy does an amazing job on the keys!

Maybe the only song in ALL of youtube that effin gives me real chills. Tim Reynolds is a god amongst us, and that ending section from Dave is OFF - THE - HOOK. wow - chills man

when Tim does that little descending riff at 7:30, Dave looks over and is like "damn that was good" so Tim just kept doing it until the end of the song

George Zachos I was at rcmh and indeed this is better, and a better show in general. Something about this show, the only d t show post 2003, that reflects the young original Dave more than any other d t show over the last 10-15 years. His voice was phenomenal. He is relaxed as hell. You can just tell he's feeling it. It's like he pre gamed with some drugs or something like the old days, just for this show, and channeled the original Dave and Tim majic.
