O look a HDzero 20*20 mm vtx that doesn't have the size of a 30*30 mm vtx in footprint :) Quite excited for this tbh

How's long range on hd zero? Better than analogue?

This is a Racing VTX, so has 25mw and 200mw output power. The 1W Freestyle VTX has the same range as Analogue Penetration is a different issue

I have a video on my channel where I have HDZero's RaceV2 vtx mounted on my 5" Moon Goat kwad. The video I posted will give you a great idea of what to expect with HDZ. It does breakup worse as I get up behind the trees to the back of the park I was flying at (not in the video). It is great when flying close proximity and is ok at medium range but penetration isn't anywhere near my other Moon Goat with a Caddx Vista and og dji camera. The lower latency on HDZero is amazing though and gives you a one of a kind lock-in feeling. I also think HDZero is a lot better all around then analog though.

@@DarrenAllatt true but honestly the 1w on the Freestyle doesn't really do much better as far as penetration goes. Trees and buildings kill the signal quickly unless you are flying Close proximity stuff. I love HDZero but as far as a daily use system for someone flying medium range freestyle in parks or around buildings it is far from the other system I have. What stinks is now that I've been flying HDZ I honestly don't want to go back to the other... but it just breaks up way too much in certain areas and these are areas I'm very familiar with and have flown without issues with my other setup.

@@P.G._FPV if you get the Nano90 it can do 540p at 30fps so has more penetration as is using less bandwidth I don’t know if the Micro v2 supports 540p

It's a Racing VTX, so it doesn't need a huge power input requirement. Racing is done at 25mw, this has 25mw & 200mw output power - so meets the requirements of racers perfectly.

@@RookieRay yeah, I would have just bought from AliExpress or Manufacturer direct. T-Motor F7 Mini would be my pick with the HD Plug.

how come? it's a Racing VTX, I'd rather they work on a proper 1w VTX for Non-Racing use

It's not that huge anymore, maybe it's time they make a design without the screw holes, remove one more cm out of one dimension and give us something similar in size and shape as some traditional analog vtx

From what I understand about the development of this particular VTX, there is still a long way to go to be able to get things a lot smaller, even if you remove the screw holes
