Stacey how many rows would you recommend before charging colors on the hdc and slip stitch combo

would this work for a dishcloth in cotton? I was thinking it looked like a nice scrubbing texture....thoughts? I am a beginner + to intermediate crocheted. 5 sisters that I want to do a kitchen set for Christmas....dishcloth, hand towel, potholder, and swiffer cover. thanks for your thoughts and ideas!

The camera is way too close

Not every other. Every stitch. Right? You're not skipping. Also your sides on each end are traveling on a diagonal not strait squared up. What happened to your work on row ending stitches. I like the stitch but would like to do it properly.
