I'm shocked at how good that image looked and as for the snow as you said it's there but you can still see everything you need to see. I think it's just so bloody amazing how technology is coming along leaps and bounds everyday. Awesome review and information Andy 👍👍👍🐺

I had my first hdzero flights yesterday, coming from analog and I have to say I regret not getting into it earlier...

Excellent review and love how you picked up on the benefits of a locked in system. It offers a totally different and appreciated experience to a digital link that doesn't bring fourth the anxiety that comes with a digital link (freezing, stutters, dropped frames or pixelation with full signal but too much details to handle) . Flying both dji and hdzero, I absolutely love my hdzero system (and my dji)

How do you see HDZero for Freestyle and Cinematography use? Is this an option in comparison to DJI/WALKSNAIL or just stick with analog until some newer options?

You can use the bf OSD as usual via stick commands.

Thank you for the fair review! This is great! Just to add, my V1 VRX did not like foxeer lollipops at all. I went from lollipops and the internal patches to long singularities and MX-Air single patches from TrueRC and my range hugely increased

That's some of the cleanest HDZero footage I've ever seen. RU-vid's compression really does make a mess of HDZero uploads unless you go 4K. Btw, you can access the BF OSD menu fine with any HDZero VTX (including the 200mW Whoop board). You're probably thinking of smart audio which isn't available, but even that can be configured via special stick commands via a custom HDZero VTX OSD menu.

what foam do you reccomend for hdo2 goggles? neoprene from banggood? or foam?

I can't wait for the new goggles as soon as they come out I'm switching everything to HD0.

I like to listen to my props and motors with an ear bud. Does HDZero have onboard audio?

Will the Skyzone cobra x work on hdzero system as well?

i assume that the hawk has a 4:3 camera and you should use it in 4:3. In 16:9 the resolution is lower.

Hdzero is the most under rated tech in fpv. I love mine. The ScoutHD have replaced both my dji and my hdo2's

Get yourself a Freestyle 1W. These things are beasts. I’ve been over 10km out with more or less perfect image.

I have the system and three HD Zero drones. All three drones would drop video and cause crashes. I updated the VRX to the latest update and it appears to have fixed the issue.

Is that mean i shouldn't go with them for skyzone 03o ?

HDzero will become the standard in the coming years, like analog was. Wait until the goggles come out and they introduce an affordable entry level goggle. It's like how people didn't pay much attention to ELRS at the beginning and now look at how popular it is.

I think you have to match antennas per "bank" which is Left or Right pairs of SMA's, not "top" and "sides"

The betaflight menue comes up when you put your left stick to the left and your right to the top left, maybe i confuse the sticks, but the corners are the right ones.

The hdo's are a very viable option. The hdmi board was a better quality. Also most prefer the 4:3 ratio.

At the beginning you show a receiver that can be used with an mhd display. What is it ?

From what I've seen HDzero is overall the best out there. But I've also heard 1st en 2nd hand complaints about dropped frames and rebooting modules(mid flight), vtx dying mid flight. Some of them are going back to analog for the time being. I sooo wish that Skyzone would surprise us all with a non-beta hd fpv system.

yes you have betaflight osd with the regular stick commands. no need for smart audio to change pids etc. The aspect ratio in the vrx menu doesn't control the camera, it controla the image that is sent to the goggles so you can have a non squished image even on a 4:3 goggle.

The image is far better inside the goggles.

Visionhmd goggles will bring down the cost significantly over the usual name brand FPV goggles.

Andy, you talk about money, are you familiar with PIP? if you are not already claiming it then do so, it not only provides extra money in itself but bumps up all other benefits, exempts you from council tax and you can also get a flat rate on your water from many company's, wessex water give me unlimited use for £14 a month and i hammer it ha ha. They like to reject PIP claims a lot to put people off but then award on appeal, they didnt with me but i was expecting them too due to it being so common. Im permanently signed off sick and on ESA, when i was awarded PIP it literally doubled my ESA in addition to the PIP, plus the other perks i mentioned, it made so much of a difference to my finances.

I very well may djump all my DJI crp for this thing. I watied for the next gen DJI to come out with HDMI and they failed me twice. Throw away those goggles, slap this thing on the back of an DHMI TV. You don't want all that crrp and weight hanging off your face.

Don,t use 90 deg connectors, they give horrible signal loss.

Man, since DJI sent them a cease and dist order, I wouldn't touch this sytem with a ten foot pole. My speculation is that it's going to get abandoned quick for firmware updates and orphaned to the rubbish bin of history. I'm not even sure why ou would want it... it's just a firmware rip of the DJI system, only kludged to be.. worse? I hate the DJI goggles, but I can't see that these would offer anything better than perhaps different display screens and a smaller form factor. That's not worth going out way on a limb for and risking your investment IMHO. I would be interested to see this "display box for streaming to RU-vid". It's probalby the goggles without the goggles, what I've been asking for, but the same terrible 100ms latency. Get your hands on one and see if you can fly to the video feed to it. If it's stable, if it's not latent as phwwwk. You can fly cinematic to 100ms, but you can't do aerobatics to it.

A new low for youtube? Reported some obvious scammers, but youtube leaves their account up and only deletes their comments. I mostly report them as "impersonators" and sometimes a second report for scamming. But when I report one that has a 1 year old account and youtube does not delete the account....it makes me wonder if youtube employees are part of this scam.

Think my mind is made up! Never going dji and fatshark I may hold off on. Hdzero is way I'm going to be going for sure! Wait till the new goggles hit. But now I guess the rdq case got thrown out of court not to sure how much more money I'll drop into it till see what happens.
