Elon kind of exposed his lack of knowledge on the subject when he proposed his example with his female friend. Regardless of weight a man of 140lbs is a different beast than a woman of the same.
Elon knows that Zuck would beat him in a fight, that BJJ/MMA training is more important than who is bigger, and that the walrus thing wouldn't work. That's not the point. The point is that Zuck cares about who is taller and bigger. In his heart, Joe wishes he was a little bit taller, too. In the same way that Joe brought up Henry Ford and his hemp car to Elon (earlier in the interview), so too does Elon bring up that Zuck and Joe are tiny guys who trained to remedy that feeling of being less than due to height. It's advanced and subtle oneupmanship. Joe said nothing about it because he's also good at that game. Not noticing means it's of no importance to the person. If he had "called" him out, it would have been weaker. (In my opinion, for all of the above)...

In my opinion as someone who holds 2 black belts (BJJ under Pedro Sauer & Kyokushin Karate under Jasiel Ormaza) and a positive professional fighting record (4-1) I think Elon is full of shit about his experience & the amount he trains. I don't know why Joe didn't call him out on it because he's very obviously lying. It's a shame that fight fell through because I wholeheartedly believe Zuckerberg would have flatlined him if he didn't submit him first (most likely outcome). Anybody that trains martial arts and/or fights who has seen Zuck spar can tell that he's decent and APPEARS to be far more skilled than Elon. So, I don't believe it was Zuck who found an excuse not to do the fight but Elon himself. His ego needs to be deflated and he needs to be humbled. A decade of training provides more than 0 knowledge. Even 10 years of just strip mall TKD 2 decades ago would fair you better in a fight than 0 experience.

Nah man Zuck was all in, Musk kept coming up with excuses to put it off... he had back issues, etc.... eventually, Zuck basically said "come to me when you're serious." Musk would get smoked. He knows it and he's scared. And this is coming from someone who generally dislikes both of them.
He said he wanted to get his back checked out. Gave a timeline. zuck backed out. I think zuck believed he would be fighting a completely untrained opponent. Once he learned Elon had some experience he dropped the fight.

As a martial artist, I'm pretty confident Zuck would win that fight. Younger, more athletic, and a few years of bjj training plus he's competed. It makes a huge difference.
@@dis4980 Zuck actually trains kickboxing and a weak bjj game is better than none, especially if you've competed in tournaments. Zuck is in his 30's and Elon is in his 50's. Neither of these men are fighters but Zuck has a distinct advantage.
