My senior year in HS, '93/'94, I wrote a paper in my English class about how we treat our vets & how they are homeless, yet we want to help homeless people in other countries. I was almost expelled cause of it. My English teacher went to bat for me & said I was correct in what I said & that if they kick me out then he would leave. They dropped it after that. Point being I saw it back then as a 17/18 year old & it has gotten worse since then & makes me sick.

I already loved every reaction I've seen of yours, but when you started telling us your opinions on how America treats veterans....well, let me just say my respect for you increased 1000%. Thank you for the words of support and encouragement for America to care for out vets. I'm not a vet, my Dad was killed in Vietnam so I am very close to the military community and truly believe they are deserving of soooooo much more than we provide them. I am a Navy veteran myself. I'm one of the lucky ones because I live in a big city and there's a VA facility maybe about a mile from me. But I know my former Shipmates, they practically live out in the middle of nowhere. And while they do love country living, they live far away from the big city and far away from any VA facility. So if they need to go see their doctor, they need to take some vacation time off. Cuz it's not like you can go see your doctor during your lunch break. And from what I remember he pretty much have to go down there to just make an appointment to see your primary care doctor. Then you have to wait months on and just to see your doctor. Then if they refer you to a specialist then that's another couple months of waiting. Love Trump or hate on don't matter really but he made it much easier for the veterans. He makes the fight Telehealth much more available to the veterans. That's where you can meet your doctor over the Internet basically.

So glad you appreciate Tom. My feeling about Tom is that he cuts through the BS and points out the issues that really should matter but people are focusing on things that aren't solving problems.
