You're so on point Daniel with the both stories, My Cousin Chukwuma may his soul rest in peace. terrorized people in ABA, for a good 4 years, when bakasi boys came around, bakasi boys came for my cousin more than 6 times in their family house in Aba, my cousin went to the village to hide and continued his criminal act, when bakasi was brought to onisha, my cousin was finally caught and killed by bakasi boys in my village, my cousin believed so much in his juju, but the Juju failed him. Daniel the right pronunciation is Nwangworo. The Story about the bakasi boys went to another different dimension, if you had in any way killed either by crime or witchcraft their juju will expose you. The crime rate in Aba, Onisha and Nnewi was high, bakasi boys presence helped. For Eddie's story, he committed a lot of atrocities, politicians and many rich men in the east go to collect power from them, at his point of death, he confessed and gave a standing order to those he has given a white staff should make sure they throw it into the River Ninja. Failure to do so, whatever they see they should take. Yes there was social media or phones at the time, but a lot happened and the coming of bakasi boys helped a lot in calming the crime down.
I also grew up in Onitsha but you see these 3 notorious criminals; Eddie Nawgu(also known as Ejima Jesus), Derico and Chiejina, mehn they terrorised us back in the days. But bakassi boys came and helped us too
You're very right bro,I also grew up in Onitsha and i can tell that chiejina is the most deadly criminal ever....The bakasi boys really did a great job in Onitsha those days.
When any one said I fear no body I do ask them have any body ever lied against you and they always said no , the easiest way to destroy any body is through lie
That's a fact. It's the enemies number one tool, Lie. Hebrews 4:12 God's Word is said to be "quick and powerful" and sharper than any two edged sword. Proverbs 12:18 Those who are intent on causing harm will do so with wicked lies. However, the tongue of the wise brings healing. 🕊⚘️
Even in recent times as well that's why jungle justice should be discouraged. Remember the case of those University boys who were accused of stealing and how they were burnt to death even though they didn't do anything. How can you even burn someone to death because they stole it doesn't even matter what you stole.
@@kazeemoluwaseunismail5064they did. Four of the men involved in killing the Aluu 4 were sentenced to death then another 3, life imprisonment. The community also got their fair share of riot from the angry students of the university the boys attended.
Daniel this is Mich from the states. 🇺🇸 . Please try n make a story about Idi Ami n Gadafi. I want to the real truths about their eay of Governance n rule. ❤❤
Very good history. I was in my J.S.S class when these all happened. You have really changed my view about these whole thing. Many innocent souls were destroyed by bakassi boys. You did justice to this story.💯👍
Once they knew they had nothing n thet realised the rumours they believed were false they had no choice but to kill him bcz how would it look the bakassi boys going after innocent people with no proof think about it? How would it have looked if they let him go? So with no proof the only way to make him guilty is to take away his ability to prove them wrong by silencing him for good think about it
One of the original founder of the Bakassi Boys is now a Pastor today. He was a shoe maker in Bakassi then in Aba. Till today he’s still in regret of their actions till date.
@@garmain.forkpah9041 of course I wouldn’t do that. He’s doing well in his ministry today and the last time we both discussed about that issue was around 2009…. So he’s at peace with his life now.
You are the first Nigerian I see doing crime stories,I commend u for dat ,well done 👏👏👏 pls stop giving us ur opinion,u as d storyteller should be neutral,I av watched a lot of foreign crime stories,u don't give ur opinion and at the end of the day the aim of the video was defeated bcos u keep saying it was all base on Rumors. You made me to now understand the Bakasi Boys😅
We also had a similar man in Ghana called, dr. Beckley but he was not a pastor! He was just a ritualist who killed a lot of people! God saved me from him on numerous occasions on my to school as a child! Glory to God 🙌🙏🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭💙💙💙✅✅✅💯💯💯🥰🥰🥰
Whether Eddi Nagwu was innocent or not still requires investigation, however what we already know is that killing someone off a hunch or feeling is stupid. Noone should be killed simply because you think your knife turned red or because they were accused of a crime. This is why we have a legal system, to establish and proof beyond doubt that someone is guilty.
I get what you’re saying but your also disregarding the supernatural if they was dealing with what they was was dealing with they knife could’ve really been turning red lol
@@UGOToonsIt still doesn't justify killing people cos the knife turned right? Remember these spirits they're using can also lie so killing people cos a spirit said so without proof is nonsense and evil
Taking advantage of the rife disorder and insecurity of the late 90s in the eastern region, Bakassi boys were a group of vigilante thugs who partook in extra judicial method of baiting targets, intimidating and threatening, open confrontation to induce confessions, riding in convoy of buses supplied by the local government, they took the law into their hands to harass anyone they target based on public rumours and social profiling. Eddy Nawgus (Deity-that-attends-church-service) unfortunate saga is of a famous spiritual leader while having maintained a clean crime record but had earned him unforgiven enmity with serious local witch doctors who (plotted set-up) see him as a strong contender/nemesis soon caught their interest. From his initial Bakassi-hijacking, political outcry and release by the police (his failure to abscond) and failure of the local government to caution the Bakassi boys on the subject (ego-tripped, saw his continued existence as a challenge) eventually led to the subjects summarily extra judicial body dismembering. This event singlehandedly was a stimuli that spanned to the ban of the same vigilante activities of the group in the region, if not tarnish the image of the local governor who was pressured to employ their services in the state. The group would eventually disband due to lack of funding and become a menace to the society themselves thereby culminating to today's social insecurities fueled by the acts of the Niger Delta militant cultists groups rising in the south east.
I remember my late dad's friend was killed by Bakassi boys in Anambra. He had been an armed robber before he started a petrol station. But the Bakassi boys still killed him. That is why some us believe the myth of the knife turning red to indicate a man is guilty of blood shed is true. Most of the people killed were once criminals or were still engaging in crimes. I once lived in Awkuzu and Npor, Anambra in early 2000's.
@@nnadibrightchinonso6456if you did listen carefully, at that time there was nothing like right.... It's all about who is strong and the strongest survive.......
@@verifiedtruecrimedanielDaniel, I shouldn’t have responded to this video. Truly, Edward Okeke aka Eddie Nawgu pounded a new born baby. This is not alleged, this is 💯 truth. There are things that supposed to be left unsaid. He buried a virgin to do juju for a politician in Anambra state who is late now and the son of that politician also died recently. I am not saying alleged but authentically writing this. I am not said alleged. So long.
This brought back memories... I was in Onitsha then, the way we see bakasi then, we even over tell the story to the point that if I am going to school and see their bus pass, I would be scared, thinking that they will stop and kill me because I used to steal meat from pot and tell lies... We were told that Bakasi boys kills anybody doing something bad. But normal it was only armed robbers and kidnappers they do kill, and there were lots of them in Onitsha then... We even had a calender of them playing with people's head
Well said, adding the fact that prof eddy was orthodox in his spiritual practices, making artifacts for protection from evil eyes, observing from both sides, no smoke without a fire somewhere, prof was dirty too emphasizing it God's power, well we'll never know for sure who's truly innocent, but Karma as a way of coming around to everyone's actions. Peace ❤
Many are born with the gift of a seer or prophet. The problem is when that gift is not brought under the subjection of God, but used instead by the evil one. Remembering the story of Balak. He was a prophet, but yet his ways were evil. Many deceivers in our world.
I remember back during the reign of bakasi I was still a kid then. One early morning we are going for Saturday morning mass, I 14:08 saw a man been butchered and burnt to ashes in awka road opposite Osuma street in Onitsha. Anytime I pass that spot I still remember it. The origin of burning thieves came from bakassi. 0:7
You lie! I was born and brought up in Lagos. Burning thieves had been going on there long before Bakassi boys ever existed. Stop spreading wrong information.
Daniel, I was resident in Onitsha at the time of the incident, and had trusted news sources from the bakassi boys' white house' HQ at Onitsha main market . What led to the arrest of Eddy Naogu was that the bakassi boys came against a gang of criminals who resisted their powers for more than an hour at owerri road, shooting at the bakassi boys but the bakassi boys overpowered the criminals and captured two alive which they brought back to their HQ for questioning. The captured criminals confessed that Edy Naogu was the source of their power that was how Edy Naogu became a target for the bakassi boys. Every other accusations came up later, Daniel. I know very well that a proper prophet doesn't operate with Edy Naogu's method so I could not care less.
Ooh I remember isakaba movie, after this iccident, Nollywood actors acted the great movie by the name of ISAKABA, staring SAM DEDE watching from Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲
However, an incidence happened before me back then in Onitcha, the red knife made them catch a man, after wearing him the necklace, the man confessed to being a retired soldier and admitted he killed a lot of people in war. They apologized to him and left him. In the beginning, they were really doing like they said until politics overtook them. It was corrupted. Similar thing happened in Bayelsa with Egbesu boys, not everything is fake. You would agree with me that Onitcha was safer when the bakassi boys were around.
My father told me that when his business was crumbling then, he had to visit eddy, he gave him a growing plant to plant at the back of our house, then, then requested he get a y of his kids, it was just 2 of us then, I and my younger brother, tho he planted the growing plant as instructed which later became a giant tree with thorns on it's body, and the instructed that as the tree keeps growing his wealth will multiply, but he will need to get any of his child, my dad did not take any of us back to him..nothing worked after all.
So sad a story. As a little naive boy back then in Onitsha,, I was praying that they shouldn't allow Eddy Nawgu to go. No doubt, we jubilated upon Eddy's killing then. But I later found out that the Bakassi boys were killing innocent people then. A guy that was reported to them by his Oga was killed without any proof.
Eddy na nawgu was a spiritualist, some one people run to for help,Then in enugwu agidi (once you start prospering and start building the wicked witches in the community would start planting things in your structure) eddy was the person that helped most of the young men of enugwu agidi and it’s environs from the hands of wicked uncles and aunties. Eddy na nawgu was gruesomely butchered for nothing, when bakkasi guys saw eddy in onitsha the machete didn’t show the red light, but because politicians had bought them over ,they went to his house and butchered him.(if eddy was evil,he would have disappeared or done something to them because bakassi power no reach eddy😂😂)All the boys that butchered him they died mysteriously, the last one in onitsha confessed and called the propagators name before dying.the Yeye propagator😂 his name has faded and I even doubt if he is still alive. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk
@@McmosesAkarue-vt7mu he told u he was among those that butchered him😂😂😂 delulu❗️ They were 4 boys that did and they are all gone,he might have been a member but not among those that killed an innocent man.He might as well want to show himself out by lying.thanks
@@molokwuudoka3660it’s like you are from Nawgwu. My secondary school mate’s dad is Eddy’s cousin so Eddy is automatically her uncle. As in the same kindred and she used to tell us about Eddy back then in school when we don’t know him because we were not in Anambra. By her stories, the man was a terror to his community. There was even a time he locked up the whole women in his kindred for holding crusade against ritualism in their land and shouting fire, saying they were referring to him, according to the story and her mother was among. It was later in the years I heard about his killîng that I remembered the story that was told back then. He was a very bàd man.
They killed one innocent boy closed to our house in the village because their neighbour hated the boy .they butchered him and burnt him to ashes, bakasi boys were fake and injustice.
What made the south east governors had to disband them? - do you think they ran out resources to finance them?...No! The Bakassi boys hidden atrocities was beginning to surmount.
Refreshing back the memories of time. Isakaba the originated movie from the bakaasi boys will forever live in our hearts. ❤ Shadout to the producer who made Issakaba a stunning movie. I must confess i can watch that movie a 1000 times n still have it on my laptop. ❤❤😮😮
Thanks for this analysis. Your video has changed my mindset about Eddie. The Bakasi boys had no case against him. However, I believe he was set up by his enemies. As for Eddie, he wasn't perfect, but he doesn't deserve to die shamefully.
You cannot use the wrong means to perpetuate justice. You cannot show love by expressing hate. You cannot do something right in a wrong way. That’s the problem with these type of justice system. It fails because in itself it’s based on fear and wickedness.
