@@monkaWGiga huh, did they do that? i dont remember them having the Nemesis mechanic as well, just that untorched bodies were a future threat for rooms returned to.

I did see multiple edits of that first mimic encounter, I did not see the second with solo Steeb, and I did NOT know that mimics could pretend to panic-run out of buildings!

16:10 It is possible to disable turrets, at least temporarily (I think). Only way to do that is through the console on the ship. Same deal with mines. Definitely something to keep in mind if and when you guys decide to play this game again.
Mines cannot be disabled (unless you count detonating them as disabling them). Turrets can from the console (just like any door, you enter the corresponding code though as you said it’s temporary). Hitting them with a weapon will also have the same effect though it’s more risky.
