I am in Canada and just came across your channel. I admire you and your husband. You are an inspiration of what love can do. You are both beautiful people and your family is absolutely gorgeous. I particularly love the relationship between your eldest son and his new father. The creator (s)/universe is awesome! Color is irrelevant in the face of love. Ignorance and bigotry can only survive through intimidation and fear. I, a black Canadian woman, have lived in 12 countries between Europe, The Middle East and Asia and I was never looked upon as anything other than a woman. I dated and married culturally opposite. I was embraced by people and never made to feel as though I was in anything other than relationships. Not a black woman dating or married to an Indian man, a Chinese man, a Norwegian man, a German man...just a relationship between two people. However my many travels to the USA always gives me pause. I have encountered bigotry from people, usually always blacks, because of my choice in companion. I was mortified while on one such trip when an elderly black couple felt that it was their duty to accost me and questioned my choice. Acting in shock and dismay (I deserved an Oscar for Best Actress) I turned to my husband and proclaimed "Bastard you did not tell me that you were white! For years you and your family have deceived me with your blue eyes and pale skin. How dare you, you Norwegian SOB". I then turned to the bemused couple and thanked them for ringing this oversight to my attention and assured them that I will take immediate action by ensuring that we further tainted the world with "some half breed babies". To this day my husband recounts the incident in side splitting laughter.
