The fact that he's actually trying to insinuate that the majority of homeless people are in the scenario they're in because it will make them more money and not because of mental illness, drug/alcohol abuse, having run away from a situation like domestic abuse, or because they're in a situation where they have to decide between rent and food is actually fucking insane. I know in some areas panhandlers do actually get quite a bit of money but how the hell do you get to the conclusion that a massive chunk of homeless folks make the conscious choice on this.

As a young person whos family was homeless, living out of our car and on cheap fast food for 2 years, it makes me very angry and upset that someone would pretend to be in such an awful situation to make money off of it. It makes me feel as if people take homelessness as a joke. I remember only being able to shower once a week and a half, sleeping on piles of blankets on the ground, begging for money from friends in order to be able to buy food for lunch at school. These people are sick and disrespectful. Thank you Savantics for not supporting their awful actions.

This video really irks me. I was ACTUALLY homeless for a while when I was younger, but regardless of the circumstances my mother always made sure we looked clean and were taken care of. I just cant believe that more then one person could be enough of an asshole to actually do something like this.

People in LA are becoming homeless because of the housing crisis. Even people who can get a good job can’t afford to buy a home.

I would like to quickly point out in Arizona there is a city and county called Maricopa (confusing I know) most people I've ran into don't even know the city exists. The statistics came from Maricopa county as well as the area around Maricopa and even other county's. Also, he should have donated all the money to homeless shelters, I find it horrible that he's keeping 90% of the money he got from scamming people

I watched that infographics video and it was really nice to homeless people and addressed a lot of issues that homeless people face that no one even thinks about. Their video made me want to donate some food and money to homeless people. So I think their video was good and helped me realize what it was like being homeless. Also the rest of the challenges did it for only 24 hours while infographics did it for 72 hours which helped show the struggle more than just a few hours on the streets.

"How much money can I make?" I was homeless for three years and I didn't make any money panhandling, I was also in an area where the homeless population was fairly low and there was no sympathy for beggars or shelters to stay in at night. I frequently had to dig up recyclables for cash, and even admittedly sell myself just so I could get something to eat, as well as had to sneak into a storage locker facility to sleep (until I was caught), and following that lived in a tent until I was able to scrape together enough to afford ramshackle basements to rent. This is a horrifying mockery of the experience I had to go through and this guy should be deeply ashamed of himself for profiting off the miserable reality of other people.

I volunteer at a LA homeless donation thing (The Giving Spirit) twice a year and I've seen the joy on their faces when someone gives them a little bit of supplies and I've heard their emotional stories of how they became homeless but.... they totally just doing it so they dont have to work omg 🙄

im legally blind, no side vision and the amount of people who take my cane from me or say 'how can you do xxxx blind' is astounding. yes i can type, yes i can walk on my own, yes i can live on my own! it is NOT easy ! i struggle daily to even eat, i cant afford a winter jacket, and someone who is normal-sighted profiting off of it just boils my blood when i try so hard to just be 'normal'

I live in Liverpool which has the most fake homeless people in the UK (they get taken back to their house by the police) So the fact that there are people showing how much money you can get by pretending to be homeless is disgusting

The people who trick you into getting money are people like him: the ones who pretend 🤦🏽‍♂️ he's so stupid. Where I live we get raised getting told to rather get homeless people food instead of giving them the money in case they pretend like this man or in case they are addicted to drugs and buy those instead.

This makes me so sick, I live in West Virginia and I have met MULTIPLE homeless people, most who are VETERANS! They came back from being deployed to find that their home was GONE, they did not choose to lose their home, and they work hard to make any money. One would walk around the city I live in picking up cans to recycle. He's had the cart he'd use endure people trying to break it and wheels have been stolen from it. Being homeless is not a joke or a trend, people need to stop treating it like it is.

1. Panhandlers =/= homeless people 2. Something like 40% of homeless people have a job. I've been homeless. I didn't "look" homeless. I was staying in a shelter. It was still hell. I didn't panhandle. And I've known people who panhandle who weren't homeless, just really poor.

Me and my dad were homeless once, it was during the summer, and honestly we were kind of lucky, we slept in my dad's old white pickup. He still had a job, we were evicted and luckily his place of work let us sleep in their parking lot. I slept in the back of the truck while my dad slept in the cab on the leather seat. Don't think this wrong my dad had back pain so I figured it'd be better for him to sleep inside on the much softer leather seat. I slept with a large quilt on top of our stuff and a blanket to keep the chill off of me. I actually enjoyed sleeping outside and I was still much younger back then (around 12 I think) so I was just clueless to the situation. I remember being at the place where my dad worked it was after hours near sunset and I had my toys (a hot wheels car) and was playing in the dirt. Before my dad got permission to park in the companies parking lot we slept in the drive way of the home we were evicted from (we were evicted because my grandma had died and the bank foreclosed on it or something like that). I remember being in the back of my dads truck he was smoking a cigarette and we were talking about what was happening. After the conversation I decided I'd go to sleep and I did go to sleep and it was breezy that night I remember looking up and seeing the tree branches sway in the wind. And then I finally had fallen asleep. When I woke up the quilt and all was soaked. I was like "What in the world? What happened?" My dad told me it had rained that night, he came out to check on me and notice I was still asleep so he pulled the blanket over my head and let me sleep back their (I think it was a light rain storm, no thunder, no lightning). Also, my dad said a coyote was running around the yard that night. That was a very interesting night. Sure I was young and we had a truck to sleep in, but it was still homeless; I don't even think we were allowed to be in that yard that night by order of the bank, but my dad did so anyways because we had nowhere else to go. And you know some homeless people are the most humble and nicest people you'll ever meet. I met one while I was visiting the Kroger in Marshall Texas I gave him some money and he couldn't move so I called an ambulance for him (I didn't know what else to do, I couldn't just leave him there). He was a nice man, I wonder where he is now and how he is doing? He was so grateful for the help I gave him. This was also during winter (if I remember correctly), but it was fairly nice that day. Homeless people get a lot of flak, and it isn't right. And what that youtuber did was really messed up. I saw a video where this guy was talking to a homeless man, you know just talking to about life and what it's like. You should look it up, the man says some really deep stuff.
