Explorer 36 / 40 are both excellent Rolexes. Elegant, clean dial, low profile, easy to buy from AD at retail price, not as loud/shiny as other Rolexes, and can be worn more often by a lot of professionals as a daily watch, and won't have bad side impact as other watches such as Daytona or GMT Master or Submariner.
Looking at the discounts on Rolex (deal of the week) - just shows how the prices are falling and they are probably struggling to shift them on. These 2 were new watches - 12 months ago probably flew out. Maybe that’s why the videos are shorter - less activity - still enjoy watching though.
I tried on both explorers, expecting to buy the explorer 2, but I didn't like it on wrist. Ended up buying a sub date. The 41mm submariner is perfectly balanced.
Both of these are the most generic looking watches and why he won't be happy with the exchange either. The white gold one on the rubber strap was actually awesome 👍
White dials on s/steel watches look anaemic to me so I have always preferred the black dial on the Explorer II and s/s Daytona. The fact that we are all different and Rolex offers us the choice is good news! I use a black RubberB strap with a subtle orange stripe on the black face Explorer II and it works perfectly with the orange hand. Colour coding is the finishing touch!
I may be the only one pleased that this episode was fairly short. Having got home on the 15th from spending 9 weeks in Cyprus Ive been binging all the episodes I missed , so I'm a tad youtubed out !!. As ever all quality stuff , cheers fellas.
Tried them both on yesterday, totally different watches. Explorer II melts into your wrist, bracelet is sleek and thin. Tudor felt like a big steel bottle cap on the wrist, too heavy, too tall. Coming from someone that wears a full size Pelagos every day, the Pro is just not it.
Instead of one million watches, Rolex are going to produce more than two million watches per year by building a new factory. All Rolex watches are all made by hand🤣. All the marketing of Rolex is a big scam, and people believe in it.🤣
It will be interesting to see if Rolex can crank production up to 2 million a year. They will still limit production on certain models simply to keep up demand. But it would be nice to at least get a model within 12 months.
@@Tobester_McDonkey I have two stand alone Rolex ADs near me and am a VIP customer of both. Because neither has Rolex as part of a larger shop there is no having to buy other stuff BS involved. That said a Rolex AD we stepped into in Greece a couple of years back was part of a jewellry store and tried to sell stuff to my wife. We left promptly!
