Yup, he definitely could have chosen to give up the position if he didn't want to race in a race, like you said. That contact was 100% avoidable by the red car. He chose violence.

You made a good move, safe. If he didnt want to race, he could have let you go by and jump in behind your slip.

He def hit you. He came back in and you gave him room coming out of the turn.

Someone definitely needs a spotter because he's obviously blind.... he had the whole track.

Good OLD Iracing officials , it's all about entitlement , they are never in the wrong and this is the problem as its getting worse and worse, Best part of the video..... why are you racing me on lap one....Its a race I'm going to race lol

Well that was silly, it was good racing up till that point then just didn't give enough room. It's a simple mistake, its a shame that the guy can't see that and as such won't learn from it which will likely result in the same mistake being made again.

I would go farther and say he actually ran into you. From the aerial shot you can see the red car's line change slightly, that was no accident.
