Ironically the thing he hated about his voice is probably why so many of us find it healing or pleasant. Not many men have voices like his so he sounds unique and memorable, and because it's higher it has a softer quality. He stood out to me when Luxiem debuted because I like his voice the most lol.
Same, his and Mysta's (because the accent, plus it sounds like a bit raspy, maybe?) tho I actually like Ike's and Shu's voice way more, specially the singing and the cute sounds they make (laughs, sneezes, yawns, Shu's OMG, Ike's evil laugh, haha they're adorable). I also love Albanyan's voice and Uki's singing, so sad from the unarchived Karaoke, I wanted to make his Primmadona Karaoke my alarm lmao

I TEARED UP TOO, especially when he said, "I thought that's what guys were supposed to sound like and if they didn't, then there was something wrong with them." it makes my heart hurt to think that he thought he was wrong bc of something he can't help. I can't imagine how agonizing that must have been, but I'm so glad that he's moved past it.
the thing is, its not just his voice that heals, it's generally the way he talks and the cadence and pacing he presents in. its so calming and nice to hear and since his voice is quite clear and he speaks really well, he is very understandable. his voice has the texture of a goose feather cotton fabric pillow is what i feel like when i hear him

Imo, because Ike's voice is just like ASMR. Everytime he speaks, it's just so gentle like a whisper (like Kaida Haru from JP too), that's why it's heals me everytime he speak
Wait I didn't notice it, but yeah, Kaida's voice is also very similar! Tho I find it a bit more... not deep, maybe, as Ike said, round toned? And he also speaks softly sometimes (from the clips I've watched, specially the one when he meets Albanyan that I'm obssesed with)
Reason why I started following Ike is because of his voice. I actually don't really like my voice either. People always confuse me with a girl, or say it's too soft, and even if I try voice training alone, it gets tiring using a "fake" voice. I've been trying to slowly embrace it, but it's kinda tough. So the idea that, maybe, there's a future where I get comfortable with my own voice (like Ike did) makes me a little bit happy, y'know? It's kinda tough now to the point where I almost don't speak, or distort my voice to the point of it being unpleasant to the ears (my ears or of people around me), but maybe one day I'll embrace it, or, be able to change it a little bit and then embrace it. And, who knows? Maybe there's someone who would like my voice. Anyway, thank you for clipping!
He rarely talks about himself so when he does I cherish it a lot. It sucks that he was made fun of his voice especially since I find it very pleasant, I'm honestly very proud of him for being able to face that hardship and accept his voice for how it is. I really like Ike's way of talking, too. Like if you heard him talk, you'll immediately listen to him, because his voice is very gentle and he's a very eloquent(?) speaker. Being a novelist really suits him.
Not only he has a really unique talking voice, his manner of speech is also very pleasant to hear and ties it all together! One of them is how he is very good at putting the right intonation and emphasis on his sentences to show his emotion and further gives his point. I remembered how I felt very intrigued at him for the first time on Mysta's early Luxiem stream where Mysta explained what WAP stands for (lol) and Ike's "of co-(scoff) of course you know what that stands for" just conveys the most hilarious, relatable amount of 'tired of your crap my dude'. Amazing. I also love what you can do with your voice, lil blue anime man.
Aww, I'm so happy that he's become more confident in his speaking voice! I've thought his voice was beautiful for as long as I've been watching him, and the fact that people have made fun of him for it is extremely childish and petty to me. Men don't HAVE to have deep voices, just like women don't HAVE to have high-pitched ones! As someone who sometimes has insecurities about her own voice despite what I just said (I occasionally think I sound too boyish for my liking, even though I've always been female), I will acknowledge this: nobody will ever ACTUALLY hear what their own voice sounds like, and even if they record themselves speaking and listen to it, that's still just a recording and not quite the same. However, in my experience, listening to recordings of myself has given me a more accurate perception of what I sound like than when I'm just talking. I actually sound girlier than I think I do, if still in the mezzo range (I think), though I also learned that my voice is a lot more quiet and weak than I thought it was, too😅. However, what I'm trying to get at is that, if you're ever self-conscious about your voice, just know that it sounds different to you than it does to other people, and even if those other people make fun of you for it, there will always be someone out there who likes the way you sound. ...Wow, I went off on a tangent🤣. People just always hate the difference.I am a girl and I also got a lot of hate just because my voice is too girly for girl. It's not my fault for having high-pitched voice!! I ended up get used to getting some hate from other because I don't want to change how I am. We must love ourselves first right?
@@kamkyk2380 Exactly! I do think it's important to learn how to love your own voice, or at the very least not hate it-though unfortunately, I don't really have any advice on how to do that. People will nitpick the strangest things; I'm sorry for neglecting to mention that people will make fun of women for having "girly" voices, as well as men for having voices that are TOO deep. As I said before, people can be petty. Bullying somebody for something they have little to no control over is a pretty low blow (though how much control a person has over their voice may vary; I mean, just look at Luca, who can perfectly replicate a woman's voice despite being male). However, unless you like using a wide variety of voices, or you're in a position where you would be happier having a more feminine/masculine/androgynous voice, in which case go for it, I'd recommend not letting others' negativity or your own low self-esteem get you down about how you sound...which, I'll admit, is probably easier said than done for some people, myself included, but it never hurts to start somewhere. Sorry if this makes no sense.

When i first heard his voice i actually have like no reaction i just kept watching, i did realize that his voice is pretty high but i didn't think much about it. As time passed and eventually i find his voice really unique, the whole time i was just paying attention to what he was doing and saying not his voice in particular so yeah it's pretty cool tho, i'm glad he finally like it:>

As a singer I always hated and loved high voices at the same time. Most people prefer to hear high voices or high notes in songs. Most popular bands has vocalists with high voices. Also in my opinion its a lot easier to sound good if you have a high voice, and you dont even need to have 3 or more octaves in your vocal range. Its just a words from random guy whose voice is something in between bass and baritone(i guess), but if you have a high voice, you already got boost for your life.
i love his voice love being he has one of that voices that can help you put you to sleep bc of how soothing it is. it’s so calm and gentle and i think ppl hated it bc they didn’t have that power!
my situation is almost similar but probably not depending on how you look at it, but i'm a trans male and i know how ike feels. it's hard having ppl telling you "oh you're a guy? lol nah no way you sound like a girl," especially since you're trying so hard to accept yourself and learn how to love yourself. i'm glad he slowly learned to love his beautiful voice ♡ i'm jealous of it lmao
oh man that hits home. i hate my voice too because it's lower than most females that people around me used to tell me i sound like a boy. i used to force myself to speak higher when i was a kid because i thought that was how females supposed to sound like. i still don't like it but i feel better about it than before.
I know a lot of people like deep voices, and don’t get me wrong they are very nice as well, but I just have a soft spot for higher pitched voices on guys. I guess because I have a bit of a deeper voice for a woman so I enjoy softer/higher pitched voices in guys.
Omg I relate to this SOO much 😭😭 I am a girl and was born a girl but I have a deeper voice than most and I hate it SOO much! Like I never noticed until back in 8th grade. I raised my hand a lot in math class cause it was my favorite subject and I had no problem speaking until a girl said “omg her voice is so deep, she sounds like she went through puberty but in a guy way”. She didn’t even try to be discreet about it and since then I’ve become aware that my voice was deeper than most girls! Not only that but I am constantly reminded by my family members as well and I’m even more insecure than ever! They be calling me a man as a joke, I may laugh at it but ig that’s a coping mechanism? Cause it’s not funny all the time! Even til this day as a college student I still am so anxious to speak cause I really don’t need to hear that my voice is deep a million times 😣😭 hopefully I can learn to love my deep voice 💕✨

Bro I'm gonna fucking cry in class TwT There is so much about Ike that is essentially me, he's basically a twin soul and for me there's immense comfort in that We have similar attitudes, sense of humour, friend "trope", even struggles and responses to them (as well as coping mechanisms) Same thing in this situation, I'm still not really a fan of my voice because of its limitations (female alto, can't go high or really low despite what some people keep insisting is "normal", and for some reason people have mistaken me for a guy based on my voice), but I'm ever so slowly getting around to liking it more For anyone else who struggles with liking their voice: Keep recording yourself and listening to it back (do keep in mind this might not work for everyone). It sounds absolutely dreadful at first, but I'm getting used to it and learning to analyse my voice; this way, I can figure out what I might be able to alter through practice or find other tones that work for me Much as I feel bad for anyone that shares my struggles, there is comfort in knowing you're not alone, and you might stand to learn a thing or two about finding ways through it from them (and on the flipside, you might also be able to help others through your experiences ^^)
I’m glad he learned to love his voice because I love it and I think it’s really unique. Ik everyone has different voices but Ike’s voice was truly something new and beautiful, it stood out when I first heard it and just as I loved it then, I still love it now💙

I feel Ike here, I used to hate my voice too in almost the same reason. I grew up with such a high pitch voice and most of my friends tends to parrot whatever I say in a forced high pitched voice and make fun of it, It always makes me feel conscious and because of that I tend to talk in lower almost monotone voice, but I guess I started to accept and even like my voice when people started saying that they think my voice is just simply unique. But now people tends to mistook me for a child because of my voice and height even though I'm an adult, and I always find it funny when they realize that I'm actually older than they originally thought lmao

[insert death threat]!!!" like literally. that's how every internet discussion goes. it could be about literally the smallest most insignificant thing and it will escalate from you stating a perfectly valid opinion, to someone assuming you are completely against the opposite opinion because the middle ground does not exist and if you say you're middle ground then you're a coward for not picking a side, to them saying you are some sort of "ist" or "phobic" word (misogynist/homophobic etc) for not having a certain opinion on whatever topic, to them sending you death threats and telling you to "KYS" for not having the opinion that they want you to have. its almost like you cant have a productive/enjoyable discussion with anyone on the internet without them being offended by literally everything and escalating the conversation from 1 to 100 /sarcasm
As person with usual voice higher then most people have, I totally get it, there was times where I hated my voice especially considering that combine with my look's it made me appear allot younger than I am, but over time I actually met allot people who would say they love my voice, also I learned to modulate my voice and sing because of trying improve on it, so never be disquraged because you have something that differs from the most or because you lacking something most have, it only one more reason to improve yourself to be better.
I absolutely adore his voice. I have a preference for high pitch shounen? kinda voice. I guess that's why my fav JP seiyuu is kamiya hiroshi, fav CN game streamer is 花少北 and now my fav EN voice is ike. It's just really soothing to listen to him speak. I like to put on his vids while I'm multitasking something else.

If I were to meet up with you guys, you will probably thought im younger than you guys but no, its just my voice. I had to explain my age and grade level for some people. I started to hate my voice because people keep saying they couldn’t hear me very well. I grew up to hate it and envy others that has cool voice like all my friends talk sound normal unlike me. It was uncomfortable for me that people only kept talking about my voice and why its cute to hear which resulting im staying quiet during a conversation. Most of my classmates are trying to make fun of me to sing a abc song or speak one word. I tried to force myself to speak low a bit so they can take me seriously. Somehow, I slowly liking my own voice because of other streamer or youtuber that has a same voice range as me like lilypichu, finana and so on. And the people I love. It helped me get my confidence back.
I used to feel the same thing as Ike even though I'm a girl. My reason for disliking my voice in the past though was because my friends used to say it was annoying and too high pitched. Nowadays I do still feel like this, but it is a lot less since after I started singing I have come to like my voice a lot more.

I was joining scout at high school and every scout meetings people from another school laughed whenever I presented something for my teams. I wouldn't feel bad about it, I mean you have something unique and even better than others. It's easy to find someone trying to mimic a corpse voice anyway, but there's just something so special and soothing about higher ones. I hope one day you don't feel that way and love yourself more!

Honestly I don’t get why people always have to be so judgmental when it comes to someone’s voice. I used to get made fun off or told off for speaking in a high pitch a bit childish sounding voice but it really came naturally out of me, it was just the way I talked. But after constantly getting really nasty reactions to it especially from people I considered my close friends back then (btw I was literally a child back then though) I gradually started to really deepen my voice and now sometimes I get told I sound like a dude when I talk. I think I naturally have a wide voice range so I’m able to do voices on either end of the spectrum but since I’ve been molding my voice after what other people wanted I’m now really confused with what my real voice is I don’t even know wether I have a high or low voice, what is actually my comfortable range. Rn everyone would say I have a really deep voice but I do find that sometimes it sounds like I’m subconsciously overdoing it and forcing it deeper than comfortable. Also my throat and larynx? Or some part of my throat start to really hurt when I talk for long periods of time without a break in my low voice
