Love the dad talk! I am a new-ish single father (my son is 15 month) and it’s nice to hear other dads talk about there experiences! Also I would LOVE to offer Bryan some moose steaks to cook if you guys are interested!
I'm honestly enjoying these longer style of videos. It really feels chill and relaxing to watch steak cook and you guys talking about random things. Love it!
hello Bryan and Matthias, I am 31 and my wife is 6 months 3 weeks pregnant. I already notice myself changing little things about myself or the way I do thing or prioritize things, and my kid is not even born yet!!!!. Listening to you guys talking about this subject has opened my eyes to how to be a better father to my future child, and to give myself a break and not be so hard on myself for not being able to achieve all the expectations that I set for myself, because a lot of those expectations I set are unrealistic. Anyways, what I am trying to say in a round about way is THANK YOU. You two are great men and even BETTER fathers, I have watched all of the channels involved with hi5 studios since pretty much the start, and seeing how much you two have grown, and the beautiful families you guys have created almost brings me to tears typing this. I know I do not know either of you personally, but I can not help myself from feeling very proud of you both. I wish you two the best in your journey of life, I wish your children a happy and healthy life, Last but not least I wish both of your wives a happy and healthy life. May god be with you on your journeys men!
This video was very therapeutic in a way. It felt like sitting down with friends. I know in real life you guys don’t know me but I have watched both of you guys content for years now and hearing both of you talking so wholeheartedly about being fathers is great to hear as someone whose father stepped out early in life.
Thursdays are becoming my favorite day due to you guys. This was so wholesome! I am loving these longer videos. Chill vibes, great conversation, food...the works. I was cooking while watching and listening to you guys. Can't wait for next week. P.S. Bryan I want/need that hoodie por favor! 😆
Talk about an amazing video format. Not just the highs of the video that go by so fast. But a great topic that so many can learn from and improve upon. Plus who doesn't love a little scripture drizzled over their steak! God bless ✝️
These last couple episodes have been something special. Being 30 years old and hearing you guys talk about real life in long video format is very satisfying. I've always been a huge fan of these two on there respective channels, but seeing them together and seeing this side of them just hits different. Thank you both for being actual role models in a space where there aren't too many.
Bro it’s so odd that I’m in high school but I’m watching a video about fatherhood and making steak, but literally like all the content y’all make is so good. Plus, looking at that steak makes me imagine my little sandwich as better😂🤣
Really just show them you love ur kids and spend time with them because with my dad we don’t get along never helped me with my homework, never played together or showed me he loved me as he’s child and and never been proud of me when I do things
Third point on incorporating kids into our desired activities is a great commentary on discipleship. I had a seminary professor give a similar observation. Discipleship is not adding something in the calendar but it’s inviting people into things already in your calendar. Even more so true for our kids! Our children are our most critical disciple relationships. Thanks for the way y’all talked about it!
I’ve got stop watching this channel right before dinner lol! Boy do this fantastic videos make me salivate so much. But in all seriousness I love the conversations you all have!
Just made my first order from Omaha Steaks thanks to you guys. I also now have a cast iron skillet and knife set. Thank you guys so much for inspiring me to begin preparing steak for myself. It has completely changed my dinner experience and improved my diet. Love this channel!
I can totally understand when it comes to worst time going by fast. My daughter is going to be turning 11 this year and it feels like just yesterday. I had her period in like three more years. My daughter will be a teenager which is kind of crazy to me because I’m not ready for that stage yet but it’s gonna be a whole different journey with a teenager. I cherish every moment of my daughter being a small little kid, but then got to realize that she’s growing up to be a mature teenager and then one day she’s going to be an adult, so totally get the whole children growing up fast because as I said it feels like just yesterday I had my daughter and now she’s gonna be 11 this year so it’s kind of crazy time is going by fast and my daughter only has a couple more years in elementary school and then she’ll be in high school, so yeah kind of crazy how time is just whizzing by us so quick.
Not a dad yet, but I love your guy’s vulnerability. Y’all are talking about stuff I’ve thought about being a perspective dad one day and it helps to know I’m not alone.
I feel like Matt could make a best selling book. I feel like he could change peoples life with his teachings. So Matt if you see this I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only person that would love to read it.
The Ribeye Steak comes from the rib portion of the cow. Typically, the cut comes from the best center portion or the “eye” of the entire rib steak. This cut tends to have a lot of marbling (fat in between the muscle fibers) and makes for a very juicy steak.
This is an awesome video. Probly the best you’ve ever done. The realness, authenticity, and genuity; everything. And to top it off I learned that you can make great tasting steak in a pizza oven! I’m not father, so I can’t give you any experiental advice on that, but I will say that I really like this channel, both of you keep doinf what you’re doing, teach and raise your children in the fear and love of God, and yourselves and your families be richly blessed. So great seeing someone use this platform to tell ppl what God has done for em and what He can do for each of us. Thanks!
Really loving this channel. The conversation is just as good as the steaks! And I think we need a rematch between Bryan and Matthius on Experior Golf. Winner gets an expensive steak and table service from the other on this channel. 🤔
In the process of raising two men, 10 and 8, I learned to replace "be careful" with "stay in control," then replaced "stay in control" with "be confident". They always get to try something new at least once, whether it is a new activity or recipe. That way they can at least say they gave it a fair shot. We always find a way to make a win-win, which means they both find a way to compromise. We lean hard into their natural strengths and come up with games to help with the harder stuff. Teaching my youngest how to air-write letters and numbers totally changed his education.
I really enjoyed the conversation mainly because I'm roughly the same age without a family and its interesting to hear the indepth thoughts of Bryan and Matt plus the steaks even though I don't understand them LOL from the deep south of south africa.
I’m enjoying the episodes and just getting to see you guys in raw form. The hour is a little long but I am hear for it. I watched the last episode in two settings and that worked out great.
As a people watcher. I like these kinds of videos. Just two brothers (in law) chilling, making steaks, and talking about life. This content isn't for everyone. But I personally like it a lot. Only downside is that I always want steak after watching.
I’m not a father, but I would like to give you a piece of advice from the prospective of someone’s kid. I believe it is really important to make sure that your kids know, especially as they get older, that they should not be afraid to have different opinions or beliefs or lifestyles from their parents. You’re right that kids needs to both know and feel that they are loved, but they need to also know that that love is unconditional. That not growing into a mini version of their parents won’t hurt their relationship
Not crying absolutely is normal. I don't cry. It's not a macho thing. I still feel deep levels of emotion. I still get emotional. But I don't cry. I get choked up out of happiness and sadness but never full on cry. I don't suppress my emotions either. Different people process emotion differently. I feel the same depth of emotion others do but I don't process it by crying. Not a choice it's just how I am.
Okay, seriously, not going to lie, when Matthias said Dope or Nope was being put on hold I thought we were going to miss a ton of nice content. But we're getting nice content more REAL content here, legit conversations and interactions among these guys, and it's nice to see Matthias, Bryan, and others all back together and enjoying making much more casual content like this.
You should get a poster for behind the grill of the parts of the cow so mathias can see where it comes from, like brian is a teacher showing him where they come from
The Ribeye from beef rib Ribeye steak is a cut out meat taken from the cow's beef rib. This primal cut is located along the cow's ribs, with the ribeye typically taken from between the sixth and twelfth ribs.
