George Harrison talks about how he came to work with Jeff Lynne on his 1987 album Cloud 9. Cloud 9 marked a comeback for Harrison, who had not released a solo album since 1982. Lynne co-produced and played various instruments on the album, as well as providing backing vocals. The album was recorded at Harrison's home studio, Friar Park, in Oxfordshire, England.
The interview is from October 1987.

It's amazing to see how these undeniable legends praise each other, there is also the corresponding interview in which Jeff couldn't believe George wanted him to produce his new album, and another one, in which Jeff felt thrilled that the surviving Beatles asked him to produce the two famous demos left by John, he always felt very lucky to work with all of them. It's amazing that admiration and mutual respect among peers!!!

Jeff Lynne could afford to say 'screw a knighthood'. Hes being praised by someone that he greatly admired as a young man, and was even asked to help produce the last ever Beatles album. That would mean more to me than anything else. Jeff, youre a legend and a genius. The Beatles knew it. That can never be topped. Congratulations for every good thing that happens in your life. You have definitely earned it.❤❤

La amistad entre estos dos grandes de la musica, es tan inspiradora. Cuando dos genios que se admiran mutuamente son capaces de trabajar juntos, sin egos, pueden hacer proyectos tan interesantes y frescos como fueron los Traveling Wilburys.
