Been watching this band all day. Love what I hear; what I see is fun in the videos and the live clips make me want to see them. I am very impressed. Something new. No need for labels. Good music.

right? i heard this song at a talent show in 6th grade and the guys that performed it FINALLY told me what it was after tha bands popularity died and went to the seventh circle of hell. i cant find their cds anywhere

the funny thing is I have seen these guys live, not by choice but they happened to be a replacement opening act for a show i went too about 2 years ago and his voice sounded nothing like this. There is a lot of cleanup on his vocals in production
I'm just to shut up all these haters DARYL DID NOT QUIT GJ Glassjaw is releasing an album this year, head auto is releasing one two, and so is their other off shoot. Basically they don't want to taint one of their genres with another, so Daryl (and sometimes some of the others) have dif bands that play dif genres...
yeah man. as a core gj fan seeing this can be a little tough sometimes. and trust me, there are a ton of posers here who will be like "who the fuck is glassjaw?" directly after saying "omg head automatica, greatest band ever, WEEEEEEE". sigh...
i like both glassjaw and head automatica, but if i had to pick one i'd pick glassjaw. and it's funny to compare lyrics between bands hahaha, glassjaw sounds like this: "i hold children under water, if it's a boy i'm joking, if it's a daughter tell her i did what i did cause i had to and if she asks why tell her i laughed too!" haha, it's so fucked up but so good :)
One of the BEST videos I have seen in quite some time and Head Automatica is simply a great band. Of course, tis only my OPINION. And there can only be one Beatles and do you not think they had any inspirations? :P
granted to some extent. i personally like GJ better. head has some catchy tunes, but for me its just kind of hard to connect the dots with daryl in HA if you catch my lingo. it just kind of seems like we're missing alot of the raw honesty and emotion he has in his other musical ventures. house of blow for example just seems like its a little more of the daryl palumbo we have come to know over the years. all in all, i think hes a great musician regardless. the razor is a boss song.
while it will always be glassjaw for me, a big part of daryl's genius and appeal is his versatility. he has fun with it. check out house of blow, or geometry, or his remix with cage. or shit, color film. new wave anyone? might not be your taste, but daryl always fuckin' owns it.
Is there really that much of a crossover fan base between Head Automatica/Glassjaw and Katy Perry? I mean theyre in completely different leagues, its like comparing Ted Nougent (shit) with Jethro Tull or Pink Floyd (awesome).
