I'm listening in 2024, and this album doesn't sound dated at all. It still feels ahead of its time. Daryl Palumbo is amazingly talented.

My god i remember this on my original xbox 360, would listen to this while playing Gears of War and Halo 3 such good times

For such an upbeat, raucous party-sounding song, "I am the razor in the hand of God" is one of the more sinister lines in a song within recent memory

To be fair, while yes. 89% of the people on youtube think Head Automatica is Emo... It's not. It's power-pop. Listen to the beats and ignore the lyrics for a second. Then add the lyrics. Just because they make one song that seems to have 'sad' or 'thoughtful' lyrics doesn't make it emo(that'd make about 80% of the best music 'emo'.). Go listen to Graduation Day or about... Well. Any of their other songs. Just sayin'...

Okay. I think you guys have your fuckin' terms mixed up. The word "emo" was originally used to describe a genre of music, which was actually "emotive hardcore". Sure, the term seems to have lost it's meaning recently. But that's how it originated.
