For the noco gb70, even though the lights are chasing doesn't mean you have a good connection. It's like with regular jumper cables, you hook them up and nothing happens. Then you move the cables around and now they work. The same thing applies to jump packs. With a dead battery, all of the energy from the jump pack is going into the battery. Therefore it doesn't start. In the instructions for the gb40, it says to have it connected for at least 30 seconds before trying to start. This gives it time to charge up the battery some so it can start the vehicle. I usually give it about a minute or so for really dead batteries.

We have countless videos showing that the Noco GB70 struggles only on our 2004 Cadillac Deville V8 with NorthStar, it works great on every other car we have used it on. We had a great connection in this video when we hooked up the Noco GB70. We were told by a number of people that there may be compatibility issues with the Noco GB70 and the Caddy V8 internals. Also, just because one person has a positive experience with the Noco (or any product), doesn't mean everyone is going to have a positive experience, it just doesn't work that way unfortunately. When we hook up our portable jump starters we always check to see if we have a bad connection first before we attempt to start, and we also always give a portable jump starter multiple chances. So, in our videos, it's extremely rare that we have a bad connection since we are constantly making sure we do not have a bad connection before we attempt to jump start. We always try to give the unit the benefit of the doubt and check all basis when it doesn't work correctly. We are not ones to bash any company, as you hear from the way we speak about all products. We appreciate the comment.

I wonder what is up with that GB70 usually they are rated pretty good. wierd@@HM_RELOADED

@@jeffhogueison1656I just watched another video where the guy totally removed the battery cables from the battery of his 5.7 Ram Hemi truck; he connected a GB40 and hit the force / boost button, and the unit itself was able to start the 5.7 Hemi. With no battery connected whatever other than the GB40.
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED 3 месяца назад
@townhall05446 It all depends on the internals of the vehicle, because usually it would be difficult for a Noco GB40 to jump start a 5.7 liter hemi, especially just the connections. Our GB70 is hit or miss on our Cadillac V8, only the connections. So, in all actuality, just because a product worked well on one vehicle doesn't mean that same jump starter will work on someone else's vehicle with the same engine size, know what I mean. Everyone has different experiences with whatever portable jump starter they are using. Its weird because my Noco GB 70 & Noco GB150 work on just about all 4, 6 and 8 cylindet engines, but for some odd reason both units are hit or miss on my Caddy V8 with the Northstar system. I was told by the team who make Irihup portable jump starters, that it depends on your battery layout if some jump starters will work properly or not. They said because our battery layout is under the back seat, thats why certain jump starters struggle. Now i dont know if what they said is factual or not, but something is causing the Noco jump starters not to work properly only on my Caddy V8. We thank you for your comment.

No commission here, my friend. When I make a video, it's an honest one, I don't hold back when testing a product. Noco makes a great jump starter, but for some reason, the Noco GB70 is hit or miss Only on my 2004 Cadillac Deville V8. It works flawlessly on every other car I have used it on. The Hulkman 85S & 10.0 I have absolutely loved since they came out because they are very well made and heavy-duty. Which portable jump starter do you prefer? Thanks for the comment

Avapow actually sent me the Avapow 6000A over a year ago for review & testing purposes. You would of thought they would have sent us an up to date unit with a Boost button since we were going to be showing the video om RU-vid. Hopefully they send my the newer version with the Boost button, this way we could test out the full functionality of the unit. Thanks for the comment

Never have I screamed at a YT video so much (during the hulkman 10.0) “IT SAYS READY, STOP JACKING WITH THE CABLES AND START IT”. Had so much anxiety during that last test 😂 Also, either there’s something wrong with that Noco or your just not using it correctly. If you connect the cables and it’s chasing that is not an indicator to start the car. Then I think you need to hold the bypass switch a second or 2 longer than you were. The heart beat bypass light needs to flash rapidly, then JUMP IN THE CAR 😂 That being said I have seen videos of the Nocos not starting a completely dead battery. That’s why I went hulkman, I need as close to guarantee start as I can get and I haven’t seen a hulk man fail.
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED Год назад
In my previous videos with Hulkman 10.0 the unit said Ready a few times and the Hulkman 10.0 had an issue not jump starting, that's why we came to the conclusion we must have had a bad connection. Just because it says Ready doesn't mean it will jump start, we found that out the hard way. With the Noco, we found that there must be something wrong with the internals of the Cadillac V8 since we have jumped that vehicle thousands of times. It seems that my Noco is the only jumper that is hit or miss Only on the 2004 Cadillac V8 for whatever reason. The manual says if the lights are chasing on the Noco and you could hear the clicking of the module, the Noco is ready to jump start. So, I just go by what I read in the manual, that's how I base how to use it on. My Noco GB70 starts anything up to 8L except it has issues with the Caddy. Appreciate the comment!
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED Год назад
Also, with our Noco videos in the past it didn't matter if we pushed the Boost and the white light blinked or not, the Caddy v8 would not take a jump start from the Noco GB70 either way. I have been using the Noco GB70 correctly since day 1, I followed the step by step directions in the manual, as well as watching other RU-vid videos. I am not the only person who has had issues with their Noco, not jump starting certain v8 vehicles. I don't know if my Noco is just losing power or if it's my Caddy V8 internals like I said. But either way, I appreciate you watching. Calm down. Lol

We did the same tests on the V8 over and over with pretty much the same results. For the last year the Noco GB70 has been hit or miss only on the 2004 Caddy V8 for whatever reason. I have numerous videos showing sometimes the Noco GB70 has no trouble jump starting the V8, and other times it can't jump start the Caddy V8 all day. I have seen other people with certain brand jump starters have similar issues on their vehicles as well. Its just odd how the GB70 jump starts all my other vehicles 4, 6 or 8L, but it struggles with my Caddy V8 most of the time. We will figure it out one day, I hope. Thanks for the comment

I don’t know why these cables are so short maybe you should look it up let me save you the trouble for every inch longer the wire is between the jump starter and the battery reduces the amount of power that can be transferred so your 3 foot Frankenstein cables are garbage to use with this type of a jumper it needs short efficient cables to transfer that power in a quick shot
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED Месяц назад
My 3 foot Frankenstein cables work great, with no issues with them. And you are correct the longer the cables, the less power they produce, but being the jump starters are advertised at 2000, 4000 and 6000A for a split second, there should be no issues. Also, we know the advertised amperage on these jump starters is not accurate. Lol. Thanks for the comment

The connection points on this test car are terrible at best , the flat ground tab does not allow any significant tension for the alligator clamp , the GM style battery cable ends connect to the battery nicely but are horrible for any accessories like booster cables. I have a Snap On battery load tester that have special alligator clamps that are designed for these. I am just saying that the connections for these tests are hit and miss .

The Avapow makes no sense because it advertises 6000A which is more than the others and yet it doesn't start the engine! Wow! Why? At the beginning of the video I honestly thought it was better than the others. Great video! I would like to see a video between the Hulkman 10.0 and the Gooloo gt4000 where one winner is chosen, one fails and the other does not.
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED Год назад
Unfortunately, there is no boost button, and no digital voltage readout on the cable module on the Avapow 6000A which I believe is the reason it cannot start a completely dead battery. The Avapow 6000A can definitely jump start a partially dead battery, but when you're out in the field you never know if you're going to have a completely dead battery, or partially dead battery. All jump starters should have the capability of jump starting a completely dead battery, since they are basically useless otherwise. We did a video in the past that shows the Hulkman 10.0 vs Gooloo GT4000.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BfX00HhR1BQ.html

@@HM_RELOADED To my knowledge, the 2023 models of the AVAPOW now have the "boost" button. With that button, I've seen it jump a bunch of bigger things. Kind of gave it a bad name early on (and rightly so) EDIT: Just read other comments by you more recently where you address this. Idk why Avapow would even think that's a good idea. So dumb to have a limited jump pack.
@HM_RELOADED
@HM_RELOADED 6 месяцев назад
@@Ka_Gg The Avapow 6000A first generation jump packs do not have a boost button, but the newer generation Avapow 6000A have a boost button to jump completely dead batteries. You are so right; I do not understand why a company would put a jump starter on the market that didn't have a boost button. But to be fair to Avapow, they were probably in the midst of working out the kinks on their older Avapow 6000A A68 models and fix the issues those models were having. Many companies will put out a product not realizing their issues are a major problem until its already on the market, that's what most likely happened here.

yes that is right that peak amps is just sell gimmick and not worth anything (well very little). average start current is 500 amps. What matters is quality of lithium ion battery and if they will hold a charge long term when you need to use it like 3 months between charges. Most, not all though, Chinese batteries cheap are garbage within a year and can not hold a start charge for 3 months.
