An enjoyable video to watch. My wife and I returned home (Newcastle) from Glasgiw, via Edinburgh earlier this week on LNER, also in first class and really enjoyed the experience I am thinking of booking another short break for the end of the year, to Cardiff but it would mean travelling on XCountry which nobody seems to like. We're also heading to London in August, Liverpool in September and Edinburgh in October.

Thanks! It’s a good route to go on! If you’re travelling to Cardiff, they’re usually 170s that go from Nottingham, not voyagers so won’t always have tea trolley either… when I go to Cardiff, I usually go voyager to Bristol parkway, then GWR 8xx to Cardiff 👍🏻

I know how you feel about only being able to get a travel card that can only be used, while travelling with someone else. I think the railcard for 25 to 30 years, came out after I was no longer 30 years of age.

Scotrail do an over 50s card, only 20% off but some v good offers for flat rate fares in Scotland periodically

Brilliant video as always except for slurping you tea. Nothing more infuriating and annoying. If the tea is hot, let it cool a bit and drink it properly.
