Dude has chops, dynamics, and tone. I'm constantly in a state of perpetual hyptnosis when I hear PT'S music. Then his narratives come in and you realize - Hey, this guy is Real! His vocabulary set is idealistic.... I actually can understand what he's Saying! LOL! It's pretty simple.... he's obviously gifted...and has undoubtedly put in untold hours not only practicing...but listening as well. Pete, please come to Sacramento CA for a performance & clinic. Hi Pete, I'm Praying you get this comment and reply. Again, another phenomenal Video Demo. You were so incredibly kind enough to call me a year or so ago when I was having issues with my Fulltone Deja Vibe. I'll try to keep this short...if you ever read this...hopefully you will. Unfortunately, my body has gotten to the point I can no longer lug around 45lbs of Pedalboard and way too heavy amps and way too many Guitars! I've really been struggling between the Headrush and the Helix and just taking a FRFR for times I need a lot of Sustain and Feedback. Is the Helix really worth the, almost double the price, or is the Headrush close enough, sound wise, to save $800? Every Video I've seen on the Headrush, at least from decent enough Guitarist, have sounded great. However though, no Music Stores in my area carry them in stock.....SPECIAL ORDER ONLY......uggghhh! I've personally tried out the Helix...great sounding...complicated but has all I need and want, just having an issue with the cost especially when hearing the Demos of the Headrush like yours!! I'm also curious if you've used the 12" Headrush FRFR and if so, your opinion please. Final questions. 1st, is the Harmonizer in the Headrush comparable to the Smart Harmony in the Helix? Being the only Guitarist in the band and covering stuff like Thin Lizzy, among other Harmony tunes, that is very important to me. I've yet to find a good demo of it. Final question. When using a FRFR in front of me to get the Feedback and running direct to PA, will the Feedback also be picked up through the Floorboard or will I also need to Mic the FRFR as well? Thank you for your time....if you read this....and hopefully your reply and opinion. You have no idea how much I appreciated you taking the time to call me way back when I was having issues with my Fulltone. That was gracious of you to take the time for a nobody. Don't take this the wrong way but the reason I like watching and listening to Pete is that he doesn't make playing look easy. He looks like he's always working hard, and I like that. Most of the great players make it look so effortless that it demotivates me because I have to work really hard to maintain my very basic skills.

this is a few years after you posted this. better late than never, I guess. I have wondered which modeler to invest in for a while. A modeler is a modeler is a modeler... . So many different videos showing how each sounds, can be used, etc. By you and others. This is the best use of the whammy pedal effect I've heard yet. I think it is the decider. I ordered one. Sold my Mesa Mark IV running into AxeFx Ultra. Had that rig for over 8 years, feeling blue selling it but looking forward to this one. With a kid on the way, just don't have enough time these days to tweak every single parameter to death and want something that works well and quick to set-up so more time can be spent learning the actual guitar instead obsessing over tones.. that's my goal now

Zoom g11 or headrush pedalboard.... That is the question for me atm.

Wow, I am really impressed!!! Absolutely fantastic playing and engineering by a man who clearly has total command over a wide range of technique and dynamics with beautiful tone using effects to enhance his sound rather than disguise a lack of skill or ability. Pete's playing here is never a showy exercise of technique, but technique that serves expression. He lets you know that he can shred with the best of them, but his musicianship is about composition, space and time. Pete's review was clear, informative and interesting. He is a great musician with or without fancy equipment and oh yeah, the pedal board looks and sounds like a great investment.

Pete - God has definitely given you a gift far above your peers. You just have these iconic moments in so many of your videos. If I were out there in the Big Time world, I'd beg you to be my producer - honestly - because you just have superior taste for sounds and melody.

Brilliant informative demo with some awesome soloing, I recon going forward this is the way things are heading Pete, makes sense for live performances, Once set up Your made up, still think there's a way to go before the fx match the likes of Strymon, for example, but seems Headrush have raised the bar and are on the way;)

Pete, you create the most amazing melodies. They inspire me, but more than that they transport my mind to faraway places. I often wonder why you haven’t pursued a solo career, and put these onto an album for fans like me. I would snatch every one up. Nobody’s music has sounded this good to me in a very long time. As for gear demos - I enjoy them so much, but ultimately I realize the magic is not in the gear; it’s in the fingers. Rock On !

This is a fantastic Demo of this product and it has caused me to take a closer look at this board! I do have a question for you because our playing styles may be different and I haven't found any demos that have answered this question for me. Would you recommend this board to someone who plays more Soul/R&B/Jazz music. Stylistically and soundwise like John Mayer, John Scofield, Eric Krasno, Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola and George Benson??

Pete Thorn is a MONSTER Player !! I Mean .... in NO Video about Loopers you can hear somebody playing Distorted stuff on a Looperboard and not always this "boring clean stuff" (I'm not saying that clean is just shit) but I always had the problem with loops that I couldn't play properly distorted over a clean track with "normal loops" (Boss) Sometimes he also plays things that are simply new and completely independent!

A nice guitar adventure - liked it. Thanks Pete. Pedalboard is good - threatened by the impending GE200? I note some shops not stocking the Mooer, that do try to sell the big boys like Headrush and Helix. Maybe not sounds threatened, or abilities overall, maybe just sales will be hit in practice?

I just read somewhere a guy was having problems with his pedalboard and all of a sudden the pedal sucked. Pete, you as one of the N#1 guitarists out there, would you recommend this pedal to me, a guitar player who plays anything between blues and country to classic rock and southern rock....? You rock, and Ola does too ;-)

Tried to compare the sound of Pete‘s HELIX videos to the one of the headrush. Both great! Pete could play a Harley Benton Strat plugged into a can of peas and it would sound great!

I haven't owned a processor unit since the digitech gsp1101 which I thought was a clear winner against everything at the time. While I have a respect for line 6, I always felt the sounds were lifeless. I tried a axefxII and I wasn't sold. I'm starting to lean towards the headrush, but I'm hanging back just to see as many reviews as I can. I must say the touch screen is a massive plus. I would be interested if someone has done decent "Pete quality" A/B comparison between the helix and the headrush.

Hey Pete, I play a lot of professional theater gigs using a Pod HD Pro X. I am looking at upgrading to either a Headrush or a Helix. Any advice or input? Also, theater often calls for acoustic, do you have any info as to how the Headrush functions with an acoustic? Or even the Helix for that matter. Thanks!

I don't usually leave comments but damn, you rock. :) I am actually shopping for something to play alone without having to work too much with mics, computer, softwares and studio gear. I started looking small pedals like the Hotone Wally + looper but was looking for something a little bit more with good drums and more features. I am starting back a new pedal board and planning to have very small pedals like the micro pedals we see on the market which there are some that sound surprisingly good. As for a good looper, Headrush looks like a terrible good brand

Is this supposed to be a high end multiFX unit ...I guess No !! coz there is some Roctron / Digitech racks from the 90's which sounds ways better ...this is too plasticky m@n come on o_O
