this is the pov of a headset man on a aircraft push. we are pushing back a Norse Boeing 787-9 with a standard tug and bar process. after the pushback we move onto connecting the tug to another aircraft being loaded up.
ive always found it interesting that in europe at least, it seems to be more popular that there is a dedicated headset person, as compared to the US where usually the pushback driver is also the headset person. do you know if there is a reason why, or just how its always been done and stuck with?
You can do a one man pushback, but need to be certified to do so, but wasn't very common where i worked Had a coworker who preferred to do it alone though, so he'd always take care of it himself Mind you, that was only with a TBL & not towbar & tractor like Ryan is using here
Do you ever have problems with the lead tangling with the nose gear? I can see you’re pinning it up but dangling cables around 220tn aircraft wheels would make me nervous haha.
