Holy paladin wasting most of their holy power is a bad joke. I got my hopes up when I saw the title and honestly this shows I can bench my evoker next patch. Already server transfered my old druid. I hate playing around the range on a lot of fights. Especially in pugs evoker is too unforgiving. It's fun and output isn't really a problem but the range is extremely annoying. Can't understand why Ele did not get more buffs or boomkin single target, prot warrior damage etc. I don't get what the heck this balance team is doing
I love preservation but I have had too many pugs with a hunter at max range in one direction and a mage at max range in the other direction. It’s just impossible to keep people up sometime.

@@Schnaqer Counterpoint: hpriest is the easiest healer spec to play and master, and yet it's still at the bottom. Like sure, hpriest is really popular in heroic raids, where people tend to overheal the content and hpriest has the best heal sniping out of all the healer specs. But in the first place, whether a spec is great at sniping heals should never be a metric to the spec's viability.
I don't really think their raw HPS is such a big problem. They are at the bottom, but that's not really why they aren't good. Discipline has higher burst HPS, and that's probably the most important thing.
It's like them doubling down on evoker range. I mean I hardly see preservation evoker when I play. People clearly don't want this. Holy paladin gameplay is awful too. Maybe we get another buff before the reset and this was just a heads-up that there is coming more?
Mistweaver has definitely been overturned, and with mana tea, they don't even fall off. But I guess the only class that I have had noticeable mana issues with is resto druid. Wish innervate would restore a % of mana, too.
I think they could keep the range limitations on breath but increase it on everything else, I get why a breath wouldn't go as far as anything else but like living flame it doesn't make sense with the limitation imo. I still play prevoker
Why should everyone play around one healer’s limitations, when they don’t have to do that with any other healer? It’s just bad design and these “buffs” won’t change that.
You don't seem to understand what blizzard is saying here. They are saying "We aren't fixing the actual problem (near-sighted dragons), but we hope you'll ignore the problem if we buff something else completely unrelated." If you hold your breath for a fix, you're just going to pass out. Your ONLY fix is to reroll to another class.
The fact that Holy Paladin buffs aren't on this list shows that blizzard is one of two thing: 1. Knows Holy Paladin is in shambles, but doesn't give a shit. 2. Doesn't know, and is completely out of touch on class balance.
I was actually so hyped when I saw Preservation Evoker was being buffed. Then I felt an impending sense of doom when I read the words "Time of Need". They openly admit that they are aware that the reason players are not playing Preservation is because of the range limitation. Their genius idea to fix it, buff a talent that has zero usage in any gameplay. I highly doubt it will be run in mythic+ or raid. It won't be run in mythic+ because it contributes zero damage or utility outside of an 8 second healing increase. It won't be run in raid because it has zero synergy with blossom and doesnt contributing any AoE healing. Live givers flame is a nice buff but once again, this healing is just going to get sniped by the tank in 9/10 instances - we do not need to heal tanks in this self sustain meta, we need to heal the hunters/mages sitting at max range staring at their DPS meters instead of being aware of their positioning. How do any of these changes help us deal with these players. Just remove the range limitations and let us do our keys with a peace of mind that we dont have to do acrobatics through boss mechanics just to get our shit done. Its infuriating.
I feel Pres needs more than this, but I guess the big changes won't be until the next xpac. It's such a cool healer and I really enjoy it. I am hopeful for the future 🙏
@erichall090909 people like the healing through fire breath idea, mostly for world content or m+. It would be cool to see that viable for raid but I don't think it's possible
i love pres too its such an amazing healer i am sitting at 3.6k io rn wanted to get to title but with pugging only its so hard if u dont have much time to que all day, Getting a Group up for next season for the 0.1% title
I love Blizzard. They are aware of the range restrictions turning players off the class. Then they buff a talent that no one takes and throw in some deal sweeteners that aren't really eyebrow raising. No one is swapping back to Prevoker on the strength of these changes alone. At it's highest there's now a public acknowledgement from Blizzard that the range restrictions are pretty much deal breakers for the healing community

I must be the only one who really likes holy pally. I think it’s tons of fun and feels just fine. I’ve played all the healers this season and holy pal and mist weaver are my favorites by far.
@@alexanderh2715 disc was lowest population healer since legion. Its not a good enough reason to buff shammies. The shammies ive seen heal in keys do very fine
The most annoying part of the mw monk is that people will actually think they got nerfed on m+ which isnt really the case because overall only their chi ji ramp got a bit nerfed and spot healing which both arent a big problem.
rejuv/germ builds will be viable in M+ again. it's 12% stacked with germination,. and probably will let you catweave with a little more breathing space
The way i use time of need is to leave the range player who doesnt want to stay in my line of cast put an echo on him/her with a re and if they drop really low the time of need heals them for me, its a passive stress relief bit also if you can just play into melee comps so its easier to group heal i like the fast that you have mobility to get around the range with moves related to the fact that your a dragon.
Mistweaver has been overtuned for the last four months. This tuning is long overdue. Blizzard needs to tune holy paladin to give them more love. Restoration Druid hps increase for raid should have happened 4 months ago. Would be great if innervate was more like mana tea. Glad to see preservation evoker getting some love.
I never been fan of nerfing some classes. I would leave those class that works alone, and instead buff those classes that are at the low end of the chart.
How is preservation range and issue in m+. IDK. Right now everything seems ok except HPal. They are absolutely the bottom tier healer and after pushing some of the highest keys for that class, I think they should double the holy shock and WoG healing for it to be ok again. Next seasons set is better but damn is it much more boring than the current one. I wish they just increased the output.
Breath already has a range. Just make spiritbloom have a range on the character you cast just like wild growth. Disenegrate needs to do a crap ton more damage since your giving up resource. And make every other ability 40 yards. No reason you need to be pigeon holed into this. Even hpal is more fun to play atm. And revert the changes to sphere and just increase its mana cost. Used to feel great hitting that button now it just feels like crap.
I really hope these patch notes aren't final and blizzard looks at Hpal and does some work on them unless they're planning a full rework to the class and haven't told us yet. But as someone who's been playing Hpal since I started it really isn't fair that the class feels as garbage as it does, Apart from the times I took a break from the game this is the first time I decided to not main Hpal. I really hope something happens soon.
I love prevoker the way it is buffs nerfs whatever ill still play it, what i want is evoker glyphs like to all my fire breath or living flame green also just more new glyphs for all classess to be fair it would give scribers something new to do or enchanters imbues to be permanent so people actually want them more cosmetic’s blizz
"Preservation has been underutilized... in part due to the range ..." indicates that the writer has a firm grasp of the completely obvious, but none of the fixes address it. 10/10 trolling, glad I don't play preservation, I already had years of this trash ("this one spec has a hideous downside that other healers don't have to deal with") from Holy priest. Congrats preservation evokers, if they repeat history expect Blizzard to continuously double down on this terrible design decision for at least 6-8 years before they finally figure out that they can't fix it, that the problem is actually the problem and not a symptom.
The Pres changes are laughable tbh. The Life-Giver change is alright but the rest are non existent changes. Ive said many times that if they just gave us Echo LF and SB at 40yard range that would be fine. I would also love a change that allowed us to put Fire Breath in our stasis.
"Dude", if you actually looked it up yourself there's literally no improvement when you filter 75 and 90/95. If anything, the gap significantly *widens* going from 75 to higher percentiles.
There's only one problem with videos like this.. They don't do anything for the general population of the game. This is 100% focused on the top 1%, which is fine, but it means literally nothing to the other 99% of the player base who couldn't care less about top 100 mythic raiding or +30 keys. Although I do appreciate the breakdown and analysis, I do find it kind of sad that the context in which it is delivered has no relevance to most players.
There's not a single bit of tuning that can ever exist to affect the 99%. If you buff feral druids 20%, the mass public will still play the class they like. Balance tuning only ever matters if something is broken, and nothing really is right now for the mass public, or for the competitive side of wow.
What are you talking about?? lol. These are just buffs to the spec. For example, anyone that plays resto druid benefits from the rejuv buff. Nothing about these are focused on “the 1%”. You can be a casual resto druid doing the raid on normal and you’d be excited for this buff. You’re just complaining for no reason.
Wrong. Just because many of us play casually doesn't mean we don't make an effort to play with the performance as close to the top 1% we can get. I don't care how other players perform but I feel bad if my Hps or Dps is low and that's true for a lot of players.
The Rejuv "buff" won't make me put it back onto my bars. These devs are smoking hash. It must be a raid buff or something. Resto Druid doesn't even need buffs, what is the point of this. I go OOM on my shammy in keys, if anything Shamans need more buffs.
Which level do you play? Because until 24 you can usually play a more passive build with healing stream totem and not use chain heal at all. 25% of my healing is riptide followed by healing stream totem with like 20%. I spend most of my time doing dps. The chain heal build has a ton of mana issues though. I feel like I need way more time healing in it and my mana suffers
