Pneumonia is not something you can "catch". It's a biological result of being "scared to death" of something which is exactly what the media has done to people dumb enough to watch them. You've heard the term "Worried sick". That's because your BRAIN causes you to become sick due to the stress it is perceiving! Why do you think young kids aren't getting the Boogey Virus? Because they aren't sitting in front of the news being scared to death because they're too young to understand a Fear Campaign. These pathetic "experts" just make shit it up to explain their narrative as they go. First they tell you kids bring home every illness from school because they're not "exposed" to enough things, then they say somehow they're immune to a Boogey Virus? Does anyone have common sense?! You don't show the symptoms of "disease" until you stop being panicked and afraid. These symptoms usually show up 1-2 weeks after you've relaxed and resolved the upsetting event.

Oh wow, so happy to see the work of Dr John Sarno is being shared on your platform! I am a Sarno student who found relief after almost 7 years of suffering (1995-2002). I was one of those doubters, but I kept following his instructions and completely recovered. I still instruct my brain almost on a daily basis. Yes, it's unbelievable as we have been programmed to believe it's structural all our lives but it is that powerful organ at the very top of us! After all, "The brain is the most complex part of the human body. This three-pound organ is the seat of intelligence, interpreter of the senses, initiator of body movement, and controller of behavior." Guess we should add and the suppressor of emotions to that one too!

I’m an anxious person. Always were. Even if I try to modulate it with meditation, nature and sports. During a hard time of my life I suffered from severe stress for many confluent reasons: work, my own perfectionism, my brother’s suicide, and other daily life wrecks. I am sure that my colon cancer (fortunately in remission and under controls every two years) soon after that episode, was a cry of help of my own body. Mind has great power over Body. Of course! While I agree so much with this, and I think it’s what allowed me to stay in the workplace as long as I did, because my onset of daily pain coincided with pregnancy, and I was very independent and type A, everyone assumed someone else had investigated my pain or wrote it off as new mommy syndrome. My son was written off and actually had food allergies- but I fought for him. It took me ten years to be diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis, and by then I had permanent damage. If a person tells you her truth, please listen. I was told my pain would “just go away,” even when I had concrete evidence of my disease years before diagnosis- just didn’t have the right person reading the test results. Follow your gut. I’m so thankful to the nurse who pointed out the Raynauds in my hands that I’d had since I was a kid that pointed me in the right direction, to a rheumatologist.

This is absolutely fascinating. I’m so grateful Mayim is talking about this. Because she has a PhD AND talks about healing that’s not necessarily academically mainstream it gives it credence. And what’s more important people are opening their minds because of it. What Sarno describes is the same personality that people who develop breast cancer portray, which is my situation. I ended up with liver cirrhosis from the chemotherapy. The liver is the main organ connected to anger/rage, which is what Sarno discusses in his book as the root of back pain. His book is titled “Healing Back Pain”. If you watch her video with Gabor Mate you’ll realize it’s not just about healing back pain it’s about HEALING of the whole person. So grateful I started following this Podcast. So grateful I had the gift of desperation and became open minded to these discussions. Honestly if I didn’t I think I would be dead by now.

Some one needs to see the brain of people that just got COVID and try to predict Wich ones will get long COVID just as they did with cronic back pain. Sue to my epxeriece I'm sure that most of the long COVID cases are due to fear and anxiety about the pandemic and not knowing anything about how our bodies are going to react. Best way to get to the root of any pain or discomfort in the body is, while you're experiencing pain, ask yourself "How does this make me feel?", put an emotional word on it. Once you come up with the emotion, anger, frustration, etc. realize that emotion was there long before the pain showed up. That emotion had to get loud enough to get your attention. Pain is just an "Indicator" of how you've been feeling.

Sarno wrote two books, right? Which book makes sense to buy if your pain is elsewhere than my back?
@rick063092
@rick063092 Месяц назад
Healing Back Pain is the OG and one I’d always recommend reading first, and then the Mind Body Perscription (he has other books).. More importantly check out Sarno’s 20/20 appearance on YT as well as read every comment on Amazon for his books, on YT etc- people give there own personal stories and may strike a chord or emphasize what you’ also believe .. there’s also “Sarno success stories on YT, Dan Bongino’s Pain Free You YT channel as well.. down the road when you get the basics down, Ozanich’s The Great Pain Deception is a must read.. it can be overwhelming- but it works . The mind is ridiculously powerful..

Ms Bialik, I have HUGE respect for you. I wanted to settle that first. But for four years, freshman to senior year of high school, my back pain was first blamed on my weight, then on the fact I was taking a high-stress academic schedule, plus working in the school’s theatre, plus having a job at my city’s zoo. Finally, a mistake was made, and after I can’t remember how many front to back X-rays, I was turned on my side, again, unintentionally. Finally, I was diagnosed with Schuermanns Kyphosis and Schuermanns Disease, and in six months I would have started to suffocate from my spine pushing my diaphragm and lungs so much I wouldn’t have been able to breathe. My doctor brought in a specialist, they trained for as short a period of time while making sure they could do the surgery safely and effectively (it is a rare disease, Richard of York supposedly had it, and only within the last 25-30 years were people surviving and walking after the surgery). I had excellent surgeons and specialists, but this is basically what happened: two stainless steel Herrington rods on either side of the spine, then shatter the spine, and rebuilding it like a Jenga tower with bits of bone, bits of steel, and 12 stainless steel nails to keep it erect. I am fused from T3 to L5. I can no longer do half or more of what filled my life because I also developed fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I do agree ones outlook effects how you feel and deal with pain. But it isn’t all in your head, and it’s not all because you clench your muscles. There are times that, even with my opiate pain meds, I don’t sleep for multiple days in a row, because the slightest pressure on any part of my body is too much and I cry all night, when I am alone and no one can see me. Those days are the hardest. What helps me is realizing pain, in various forms, is universal. But suffering from pain is a personal choice you make, and then I surrender, and I might pass out for just a few hours, but those few hours can keep me sane until the flare is gone and my normal day/ night sleeping schedule is re established. It’s not all in my head, but my choices about it are. Btw, I loved you in TBBT. You made being a nerd cool. Thank you. Also, I admire you went after both your passions, then your third; a family. Talk about balance! Big fan.

BONE ON BONE SPINAL INJURIES ISNT IN THE MUSCLE NOR ARE THE NERVES - AND DAMAGE TO THE NERVES CASUES PAIN THAT NO AMMOUNT OF MUSCLE RELAXERS CAN EVEN TOUCH ! AND DIRECT PRESSURE ON THE NEREVES - DONT EVEN ASK - IT ISNT WHAT YOU THINK - YOU CANNOT GET RID OF IT WITHOUT A SURGERY !!! { PERIOD }

How many doctors have told you that? You believe them and are still in pain, yet came here to type in CAPS that this stuff doesn’t work.. open up your mind, peel back your like, and be honest with yourself then circle back to Sarno..

Thank you amy farrah fowler 😅😅 I read healing backpain from john sarno and halfway trough i started noticing i was getting better.. after 2 years of strong backpain I'm a tileworker... so i almost just accepted it like okay this is what I'm up to for the rest of my life ( 31 now) It's not to good to be true !!! That was my first thought Its not 100% Gone... but i can do workouts again without being afraid of the pain i would say its 75% better I believe if i go dig deeper in this theory i get it up to 100% I'm so glad i found this book "early" and not after 15 years of pain Man.. what a discovery

Thank you Mayim for validating what I throughout the years have learned about myself. I hold tension! I hold tension in my shoulders, neck, head, forehead and boom! Migraine! I have learned to release the tension, migraines are gone and guess what, so are my back spasms. If only I had heard about the man you spoke of earlier in my life. I could have saved thousands in Dr visits and meds that I tried and through away. You are an amazing young lady and I really enjoy your videos. So informative.

I was diagnosed at the beginning of February with a neurological condition that is supposed to be incurable, and only gets worse over time. It has been referred to as the suicide disease. I'm doing TMS work to calm my cebtral nervous system and establish safety in my body. I'm no longer in constant pain, and I'm getting better. It works with more than just back pain!

@@usharani8658 I started with watching the RU-vid channel Pain Free You, the Fast Start play list. He will also reference a website where you can take a couple of quizzes to see if your issue is a MindBody one. I also have started following the instructions of a therapist in Canada named Tanner Murtagh. Read The MindBody Prescription (Sarno), Unlearn Your Pain (Shubiner) The Way Out (Gordon). Best wishes for healing ❤️

This definitely works for people! But for me I need some help with it because what I’ve ended up doing is becoming obsessed with mind-body syndrome, analysing my thoughts constantly, analysing meditation and presence constantly… and I don’t know how to break that cycle! Any suggestions please? ☺️ Just to add I have ADHD xxx

I am SO glad I found this channel and want you two to have a million followers. Will share in my pain group. My life and family read exactly like Dr Gabor Mate’s “When the Body Says No”. Parents both grew up in WWII Germany and did not learn very awesome parenting skills... I am trying to stop the cycle of trauma but it’s hard. Now that my mind has woken up to it, my body is coming apart at 58. Thank u!!!
